  • Now, this really is your fighting.

  • Remind out Boat built.

  • I'll do that better.

  • World Book Today is tomorrow Children across the country will ditch their school uniform and dress up as their favorite book characters instead.

  • Yes, but if you've left it to the last minute and you're in a panic, do not worry, because Georgina Burnett has got you covered.

  • So this is, like, last chance lingering.

  • This is kind of You've got a raid.

  • Your house of absolute.

  • Exactly.

  • You haven't got much time because I think a lot parents get quite competitive about this.

  • Don't labor.

  • I've tried to put together a very simple things that usually you have the items lying around the house on.

  • You can do it just tonight as well, eh?

  • So, first of all, we've got Santiago as Paddington Bear.

  • Here.

  • You Santiago Now.

  • Thank you.

  • I actually got the jacket for a joint to move forwards.

  • Santiago.

  • I got the jacket from a charity shop, but you probably have something like that.

  • A lot of parents at home, a little label that instantly makes it look like padding.

  • Yeah, they just make that out of a piece of cardboard.

  • Can you just hold up the briefcase.

  • All the suitcase for us on to turn it around, Santiago, Because this is just made out of the packaging box that I covered in packaging paper.

  • Yep.

  • On then you just get on with the black pen.

  • It immediately lets everyone know who he is.

  • It is very easy.

  • And that I did actually make, although you might have a red hats at home.

  • But I made it from felt, so that's cheap.

  • You don't have to do do seeming or anything like that.

  • And you can use glue.

  • So I think a lot parents don't want to be bothered with.

  • Soda is good.

  • So that is no asshole.

  • Orders You're leaving here to begin to know how to make a hat.

  • That was my 2nd 1 was the 1st 1 Didn't it say, But But yeah, it's one of those costumes where they might have a couple of items beforehand.

  • Anyway, thank you very much.

  • Okay.

  • Do you like Yes, so sure.

  • Very considered on next we have Esmerelda on.

  • This is a different take on Alice in Wonderland way.

  • Have a lot of Alice is out there.

  • But you haven't thought this woman.

  • She's eating a cake and she's growing out of the white rabbit.

  • How?

  • Uh, so this is obviously made from a box and you tuck the flats and underneath to strengthen it.

  • And then you cut arms out of the top of the side.

  • Sorry.

  • And then paint it.

  • Is that simple?

  • Really?

  • A simple and yet so soon?

  • Yeah, exactly.

  • And this is one that you could definitely get the kids helping with the decorating as well.

  • So that's a really nice one.

  • I think you've got to accept that.

  • It's probably not gonna stay on for long.

  • She's got a nice Alice in Wonderland, and you've already got something.

  • She looks gorgeous.

  • Thank you.

  • Yes, if you don't have an Alice in Wonderland dress to go underneath, this is just lining fabric that you could pin together with safety pins.

  • So you know, that is something that you could do you could use.

  • Well, OK, next up, we have fio who is our cat in the hat?

  • Yes.

  • Now this watch, you can hold your heart beer help.

  • So the hat we've got I've made out of an old elect over paper plates.

  • This is just a washing powder tub that I used t get this shape.

  • And then I just glued called around by and added the ribbon for the red.

  • You just need a little cardboard around.

  • Let's make it higher exactly.

  • But this keeps the shape and keeps it a bit more sturdy on then elastic, obviously to keep on the head.

  • Though I think Theo would agree that you take it off when you got to be running around with that.

  • I use a little felt for the front, for the for the tummy and for the bow.

  • Maybe because I'm rubbish at tying bows.

  • So I just cheated Felt Can you show us your tail, please?

  • This is made out of a pair of my old tight on.

  • So what you do is you stuff one leg with the with just some newspaper will do And the news the other leg too tight around the waist.

  • Really?

  • That's so simple.

  • Turn around again now and then A bit of a face paints and you're away exactly like what?

  • You think you like it.

  • Well done.

  • Thank you so much on my safe.

  • It's next.

  • The hungry.

  • Yes, very hungry Caterpillar.

  • This is Esther on?

  • Look.

  • Very hungry.

  • So this one again, I've got so much use out of these old paper plates, and I've actually stuck these together back to back to get the sort of three D effects.

  • You don't need to do that.

  • You could even just cut out circles out of cards on the type with a ribbon Rather neck, and that's it.

  • And that's really clever is very simple, isn't it?

  • Actually, sometimes these costumes should you have to think that they are going to school.

  • And they got to spend the day that I don't think that you could just quick untie.

  • Exactly.

  • Exactly.

  • Thank you so much.

  • You like wonderful technologies.

  • Thank you.

  • Esther and sister got Walid here.

  • Who is our very large B f g?

  • Look at this.

  • Oh, my gosh.

  • Yes, you Are you for the ears of the most important thing for this?

  • So I've just cut out Kabul is stuck them thio an Alice band and added some wall for the hair.

  • I did make the waistcoat, but you could actually just cut the arms off a normal shirt or something like that.

  • You haven't got a waistcoat?

  • Some of them.

  • If they've seen Page boys, they've got an old Yeah, that on then the dreams in a jar.

  • If they're older kids, you might want to just use a glass jar.

  • I've just put Cem fairy lights in the sky from Chris.

  • Exactly Exactly on then for the horn.

  • Can you hold up your horn, please?

  • Where?

  • Lead on.

  • This was just made out of the inner tube from wrapping paper made into a cone.

  • Because you gotta You gotta have Sophie in the pockets as well.

  • Oh, is that so?

  • Yeah.

  • Get the scale.

  • You know, every goods.

  • Like what?

  • What What do you think we lied?

  • Yeah.

  • Is it OK?

  • Good thing you.

  • D'oh, you early.

  • Thank you.

  • I think I never and finally is dressed at Willie one.

  • Coach Golden.

  • Oh, I like this.

  • It's beautiful, isn't it?

  • So this one is just You could it with packaging paper and sprinkled glitter, but I actually had some gold wrapping paper.

  • I doubled it up to give it a bit more strength.

  • Yeah, and then you just need to make sure you've got a hole big enough for the head and then you draw on the ticket but of glitter they always want.

  • I mean, that is really simply there is no excuse.

  • You know that.

  • And you get the chance to put a little gold glitter on just wrapping paper.

  • That's all it is.

  • And if you double it up, then it's strong enough.

  • You know, that's really simple, but very effective.

  • Yeah, whatever you like, you can say you can look online to figure out what you wanna write on it as well.

  • Yes, that's all I did.

  • I just copied it from from online, and I think those were the original words.

  • But I may be wrong, but it's really good excuse to wear your Christmas stressed again.

  • You get you get around.

  • Thank you very much.

  • Thank you.

  • Thank you very much.

  • Well done that.

  • We lots hair.

  • It's a big sigh of relief.
