  • Hello my friends and welcome to another Tuesday of tutorial!

  • I am Leonardo Pereznieto and I'm so glad to see you!

  • Today we'll draw a crystal ball.

  • If you want a perfectly circular shape you may use a glass, or something like that.

  • With a charcoal pencil we do the darkest tones.

  • And we smudge them with a brush.

  • This brush had some charcoal on it already, so we can use it for toning.

  • With a kneaded eraser we clean up what went off the sphere. And we can also pull some reflexions.

  • I'm very sorry, I didn't press the button and I didn't record those reflexions, but

  • don't worry, I'll do some more.

  • For the most intense whites we can use a pastel stick.

  • And to have more control when applying the white, sometimes is better to use a pastel pencil.

  • I love this! It looks great when you apply it on toned paper. We smudge with a stump

  • and pull some more lights with the needed eraser.

  • For the light shadows we use a hard graphite lead. In this case an H.

  • The complete list of materials for this drawing is in the information below the video.

  • We do the shadow and this include an intense light in the middle.

  • With a softer graphite lead, in this case a 3B, we can reinforce some shadows.

  • Let's also darken the cast shadow.

  • Some more light...

  • We tweak some last details and it's ready!

  • Please let me know what do you think about it.

  • If you enjoy it, please give it a LIKE and subscribe to my channel.

  • You know where to follow me and where the links are.

  • And I'll see you on Tuesday.
