  • - [Cayla] Hello, everybody, welcome back.

  • Today I'm gonna show you how

  • to make some Nutella stuffed pancakes.

  • So ages ago on my channel,

  • I made some Nutella stuffed mini-pancakes,

  • but I thought what if you want large size?

  • So we're going to stuff regular pancakes with Nutella.

  • This is the most delicious thing

  • I think I made on my channel ever,

  • I cannot stop eating them.

  • So let's get started.

  • So the actual base for the pancakes is from my cookbook.

  • If you didn't know, I have a cookbook,

  • it's called Unicorn Food.

  • It's pretty self-explanatory,

  • you get rainbow recipes in it, so many rainbow recipes.

  • But the recipes are actually really, really good, I promise.

  • So I have a pancake recipe in here,

  • it is on page 161 or 160.

  • And it is for confetti pancakes,

  • but this is like, we're using the base of the recipe

  • because it's my most favorite pancake recipe ever.

  • You will love it, oh my goodness.

  • So first, what you wanna do is combine flour,

  • sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.

  • And also I'll have this recipe

  • as well as a link to my cookbook,

  • in the description box below.

  • So if you wanna purchase the cookbook,

  • if you wanna purchase the cookbook you can,

  • but if you don't want to the recipe is just down below.

  • So you don't feel like, buy the book for the recipe

  • 'cause that would be silly.

  • And then in a larger bowl combine some milk,

  • butter, and an egg and whisk until fully combined.

  • Then add the dry ingredients and whisk together,

  • but make sure not to over mix.

  • You can leave some lumps, that's totally fine.

  • And you wanna get some Nutella

  • and, oh my god how good does this look,

  • and pour it into a piping bag,

  • and then just snip off the end

  • to create a medium sized hole.

  • This is gonna make it so much easier to fill the cupcakes,

  • verses trying to spread it onto the cupcake batter,

  • Nutella is very, very sticky,

  • so it just makes your life so much easier.

  • If you don't have piping bags you can get a Ziploc bag

  • and snip in a little hole in the corner, that works too.

  • Piping bags are better,

  • but if you don't use piping bags regularly

  • like you don't have to go get one,

  • just a Ziploc bag, that's totally fine.

  • Now take a frying pan over medium heat,

  • and spray it with some cooking spray,

  • and dollop half of the amount of batter

  • that you'd normally use for a pancake onto the frying pan.

  • And pipe a ring of Nutella onto the center of the pancake,

  • then spoon a little bit more batter

  • directly on top of the Nutella.

  • The pancake will get a lot bigger with using less batter,

  • because we're taking up half the space with Nutella so

  • I usually use a full ladle of pancake batter

  • when I'm making pancakes, but I just used half,

  • and then when you're spooning the rest

  • of the batter on top of the Nutella,

  • don't use the remaining half

  • that you used, use half of that.

  • So you just want to cover the Nutella,

  • like coat it in batter, so that there's no

  • Nutella poking through the surface, but that's it

  • because if you add a full ladle

  • or another half ladle on top,

  • the pancake is going to be massive.

  • If you want that, that's totally fine,

  • but I have a particular size that I like for pancakes.

  • I'm weird that way, I don't know.

  • So to maintain that specific size,

  • (laughs) that's what I did.

  • So you don't have to worry about Nutella leaking out,

  • it won't do that, just make sure it's fully coated

  • and there's no brown poking out and then you're good.

  • And so you want to cook it for about one to two minutes

  • or until bubbles start to poke through the surface,

  • and you'll know it's ready when there's a lot of bubbles,

  • and the surface doesn't look wet, it looks a little dry,

  • not completely dry but it just looks a little bit set,

  • especially around the edges, and

  • when you take a peek with a spatula

  • at the bottom it'll be golden brown.

  • Then just flip it over quickly.

  • The Nutella might shift when it's in the middle

  • 'cause it's kinda still in wet pancake batter.

  • So just do a quick little flip,

  • and then cook for another one to two minutes until

  • that side is golden brown as well,

  • and then just continue on with the rest of the batter.

  • I like to put the pancakes on a wire rack,

  • just because I feel like it prevents one side from getting

  • too steamy, it doesn't steam because air flow

  • can flow onto both sides instead

  • of just stacking them on a plate

  • and the ones in the middle get a bit gummy.

  • I don't know do you guys, do you guys have that?

  • That's just me, also when I film it doesn't matter

  • if the pancakes are warm because I'm taking photos

  • of it so if you want it to be warm

  • then you can probably stack them

  • or maybe keep them in the oven at a super low temperature,

  • and that will keep the heat, but yeah that's just what I do,

  • so I thought I should tell you guys

  • what I do in case you want to do it too. (laughs)

  • But yeah, then you are done so,

  • oh my goodness, these are so delicious.

  • They taste the best, in my opinion,

  • when you serve them with fresh strawberries

  • because I love strawberries and Nutella,

  • but yeah let me know what would you

  • serve with your Nutella pancakes.

  • Would you add maple syrup?

  • I don't know, I think that's too sweet,

  • but would you like it?

  • Let me know in the comments down below.

  • So thank you guys so much for watching.

  • I hope that you liked this video,

  • if you have any other Nutella requests let me know.

  • I have a Nutella cheesecake in the works, but it is no bake.

  • Would you like to see a baked Nutella cheesecake as well?

  • Let me know and I can make it for you guys,

  • also who remembers when I used to film here.

  • I'm checking the audio, apparently it was really echo-ey

  • when I shot the audio in my studio,

  • so I'm filming in my living room

  • in front of my cookbook shelf, which, my cookbook oh my god.

  • And so what do you guys think, do you like this better?

  • Is the image clearer, I think it's better.

  • I'm questioning why I even have a studio now

  • because natural light is way better, I don't know.

  • Anyways, yeah so thank you guys so much for watching.

  • This week, this next two weeks on my channel

  • are gonna be a little...

  • Slow because the deadline for my next cookbook is next week

  • and I am like oh my god I have so much to do,

  • so if videos are a little sparse or a little late,

  • please bare with me, oh my god.

  • I have so much to do, but then after

  • that everything should get back on track so.

  • Thank you so much for your patience,

  • I love you guys so much.

  • But yeah thank you guys so much for watching,

  • this outro is forever long, bye!
