The verb phrase today is hear someone out.

If someone hears someone else out, he or she listens to everything that someone has to

Before , you say something or before you interrupt.

This phrase is often used as an imperative.

What is an imperative ? An imperative is like when you give someone an order or command

So you are actually giving them an order.

So that is what we mean by an imperative.

So this phrase is often used as an imperative because you want to tell someone not to interrupt

you until you can say everything that you need to say.

You know, like get an important idea across.

Because one or more people may interrupt or may interrupt you.

You want to make sure that they don't interrupt you.

Let's just give a couple of examples here.
