  • Hi this is Tutor Nick P and this is Proverbs 79. The proverb today is out of sight, out of

  • mind. So let's take a look at the note here. This proverb basically means if you

  • do not see someone or something often you will forget about them. And you know,

  • it makes sense of course. You know, out of sight. You don't see them. Out of mind.

  • You just forget about them. You get busy with your life. You get busy with the

  • other things and you don't think about them or you don't think about that

  • person. Well, you don't think about that thing. All right. So let's look at example

  • number one. This is an a/b part of course. So A says, I used to date one of

  • my neighbors that lived in the same building and on the same floor. However

  • after we broke up I had to move. Had to move away.

  • I couldn't bear passing by his door all the time, and being worried I might run

  • into him. Run into him of course means you might accidentally see him or meet

  • him, and of course B says, Yes. You're better off. Out of sight, out of mind.

  • So you're away from them. You can't run into him. You won't see him. You won't think of him.

  • And you'll be over the relationship. That's it you can move beyond that. So

  • out of sight out of mind. Okay and let's look at example number

  • two here. I used to have a lot of friends in my old neighborhood. but after I moved

  • away we never keep in touch anymore. I guess it's true what they say. Out of

  • sight out of mind. Move away from them you don't think about them. You go on

  • with your life. You do things out of sight out of mind so that's another way

  • that we commonly use it. Okay. Anyway, oh it's clear I hope you got it. Thank you

  • for your time. Bye-bye.
