  • Good day. You know, it's very seldom that I'm impressed by a game these days. And Medal

  • of Honor is one of those games that is very surprising in its greatness. You see, the

  • graphics for this game are quite amazing. I mean, who knew the Playstation 1 could actually

  • run a game this graphically complex? Wait... this isn't the PS1 game? Then why is it called

  • Medal of Honor?! Why not just call it Medal of Honor... Future Warrior or something? Oh,

  • because there's no creativity anymore? Ah. I see.

  • Well, anyway, here we have Medal of Honor 2010. A game that shows just how uncreative

  • the first person genre is these days. Basically, this is the modern incarnation of the standard

  • first person shooter. You see, back in the 1990's and early 2000's the standard first

  • person shooter was actually good. You actually got to play a game. Whereas here, we don't

  • have "a game". Instead, what we have is an interactive film of sorts. Yeah, there is

  • some gameplay, but it's so strictly linear there's nothing you can really do differently,

  • which means there's no reason to play this game multiple times.

  • After your first playthrough, you've seen the game. You've seen the entirety of the

  • game. Even if you up the difficulty, it's still the same bloody game, you still shoot

  • the same people with the same weapons in the same places. There's no real reason to even

  • try at this game because there's nothing you're really doing but going to different cutscenes.

  • Now, of course, there's the multiplayer for the game which I'm not going to even bother

  • addressing because multiplayer has been in games for many, many years. So really, it's

  • nothing special.

  • Now basically what Medal of Honor is, is not a Medal of Honor game. Rather, it is a Modern

  • Warfare clone in every single solitary way. And this is quite disappointing seeing as

  • how Medal of Honor used to be actually distinct from Call of Duty. But oh well, that couldn't

  • last, could it?

  • So does this game have any remarkable qualities whatsoever? Are there any aspects of this

  • game that break away from the norm? Well the answer is... no. It's just amazing how utterly

  • generic this game is. How there's nothing really "wrong" with it, per se, you can still

  • actually play it and it won't just have a bunch of glitches or things of that nature,

  • but there's nothing... right... with it. It's literally just a generic game in every sense

  • of the word. Sure, I may be getting a bit repetitious with the generic moniker, but

  • the game itself is repetitious. If you've played Call of Duty 4 or any of the other

  • Modern Warfare games, you're basically going to be playing the same kind of game. And so,

  • this is Jon, wishing you MUCH BETTER Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault, Medal of Honor:

  • Frontline, or whatever makes you happy.

Good day. You know, it's very seldom that I'm impressed by a game these days. And Medal
