• on paper: In theory or as a plan, but not necessarily in reality.
• on the shelf: Located on a shelf.
• grow up: To develop from a child into an adult
• like anything: Used to emphasize strong intensity or effort.
• describe: To tell the appearance, sound, smell of something
• brand: A mark burned on an animal to show who owns it
• fantastic: Strange or unusual in design or appearance
• bit: Device put in a horse's mouth to control it
• tiny: Very, very small
• grumpy: Easily annoyed and complaining
• couple: To join something to something else
• pleasure: Feeling of happiness, enjoyment, or satisfaction
• major: High-ranking officer in the army
• wanna: Shortened form of 'want to'. Used only in speaking
• comedy: Amusing play, film, usually with a happy ending
• favorite: A thing that someone likes best or enjoys most
• company: Good feeling from being with someone else
• shelf: Flat, narrow surface on an area of rock or sand
• kind: In a caring and helpful manner
• suit: To be appropriate for a given situation
• wear: To have clothes, glasses, shoes etc. on your body
• grow: To get bigger and more mature; make plants do this
• part: Division of a book
• gasp: To take a short quick breath because of surprise
• classic: Having a simple, basic design or style
• vet: Short for 'veterinarian' or 'veterinary surgeon'
• gum: To cover or stick with adhesive
• work: The product of some artistic or literary endeavor
• live: To be alive
• meet: To provide something that is necessary
• hear: To be aware of sound; to perceive with the ear
• give: Degree of flexibility in something, a material
• rock: To be greatly upset by something, e.g. a death
• ninja: Japanese martial arts warrior, often an assassin
• kitty: Amount of money a group of people share
