  • Hey!

  • World is getting ready for Christmas, but presents are not popular just this time of

  • the year - we all have birthdays.

  • That's why I want to share a lot of cool and unexpected gift wrapping ideas with you, which

  • will surely impress all your friends and familly.

  • So take your crafty spirits out and let's wrap some gifts.

  • Let's begin with 3 unique gift wrapping ideas, where you just need a white paper, while everything

  • else you probably already have at home.

  • For the first present you need a white gift wrapping paper, tape, scissors, colored cardboard

  • for the card, elastics, lollipops, and a ruler.

  • Take your white gift wrapping paper or just a regular white paper and cut out a piece

  • big enough to wrap your gift.

  • It's amazing how many different gift wrappings you can make with a white paper and some imagination.

  • Just take a look around your room and you will surely find many ideas on how to decorate

  • this plain present.

  • I found some colorful elastics which can easily replace the usually used ribbon.

  • Bind the elastics by making a knot like this until your string of elastics is long enough.

  • Luckily my elastics are quite long by default so my string is growing pretty fast.

  • Wrap the elastic around the present the same way as you would by using a normal ribbon.

  • Make a knot on top and you can already finish here.

  • Or, you can tie on some lollipops to add some extra sweetness to the present.

  • Now, I am going to show you how to quickly make a little gift card, on which you can

  • write the name of the recipient.

  • Cut two rectangles from colored paper or cardboard, where one must be slightly smaller than the

  • other.

  • It looks really nice if you choose two similar colors to the colors of the elastics.

  • I chose yellow and blue.

  • Glue the cardboard rectangles together to get the card!

  • And here it is, our unique present, that everyone would be happy to receive, but candy lovers

  • especially.

  • To decorate our next plain white package we will use some colorful balloons.

  • Tie balloons together like so.

  • As you can see I've used the longer balloons in the middle and the normal rounded ones

  • at the ends of my balloon string.

  • The rounded balloons will make a beautiful bow on top of the package.

  • So just wrap the string around the present in the same way as before with the elastics.

  • I think this present looks absolutely adorable.

  • Maybe it is more appropriate for children, but I would be super happy to receive a gift

  • wrapped in such way too!

  • You can also add a card.

  • By coincidence, this one that I used on the previous gift fits perfectly with this one

  • as well.

  • The third technique on how to spice up a boring white present is by using paper clips.

  • I am using yellow and violet clips today, but you can use normal silver or gold ones.

  • They would look especially cool on a black wrapping paper.

  • Bind the clips together like so and when your paper clips strand is long enough, wrap it

  • around the present and connect it on top.

  • Start adding paper clips to the top where the clip string crosses until you end up with

  • a lovely flower.

  • How cool and special is this present, right?

  • As you have seen, you can decorate your plain white packages in so many unique ways, and

  • the best of all is that you don't need to buy anything, simply use small things you

  • can find lying around your home.

  • To me it seems very thoughtful if you personalize a gift wrapping for the person the present

  • is for.

  • If that person is someone that really likes music, plays an instrument or is a singer

  • -- why not wrapping the gift in a music sheet?!

  • Here I'll also show how you can use a yarn instead of a ribbon to decorate your present.

  • First, I've printed out a music sheet.

  • Mine is for a jingle bells song, how appropriate.

  • If you're a musician and have some music sheets that you don't need any more, you can of course

  • use those to wrap the package.

  • To add some extra cuteness to the present, we're going to make a pom-pom.

  • You need a yarn and some thread in the same color.

  • Wrap the yarn around three fingers approximately 40 times.

  • If you want your pom-pom to be bigger, use 4 fingers, if you want a very small pom pom,

  • 2 fingers are enough.

  • Take the yarn off your fingers and tie some thread around it like so to get a bow shape.

  • Cut through the loops on both sides and then style your pom pom into a nice rounded ball

  • using scissors.

  • Place it on the top of your package.

  • You can just glue it down or you can tie it on with some more yarn like me.

  • I used two pieces of yarn to wrap them around the pom pom first and then I tied the ends

  • at the bottom of the package.

  • How super-duper cute is this gift wrapping!

  • You can also use two or three pom-poms together, maybe use different colors of yarn for each

  • and it will look perfect.

  • Trust me with that!

  • Pom poms are not the only way to use yarn when wrapping gifts.

  • Here I am using 4 colors of yarn to dress up this little brown box.

  • Wrap the yarn around the present and leave about 10 centimeters or 4 inches extra yarn

  • on each side.

  • So now cut more pieces of yarn in different colors.

  • Pull all the yarn pieces together and tie them on top of your package.

  • Cut away the excess yarn and you're done.

  • So quick and simple yet so lovely.

  • Are you giving a present to someone that really loves cooking and baking?

  • Use cupcake liners to jazz it up!

  • Well, even if the person is not a baking lover, this unique idea will surely impress everyone.

  • You need a ribbon, cupcake liners, thread and a needle, scissors and a hot glue gun

  • or just a regular glue for this one.

  • Start by separating the cupcake liners.

  • Put approximately 6 liners one into another and then scrunch the top three or four of

  • them.

  • The bottom ones must remain in a nice rounded shape.

  • Sew the cupcake liners together with the needle and some thread, make two knots at the bottom

  • to secure them.

  • Now it's time to add some more liners in the middle to perfect the shape of our cupcake

  • flower.

  • Scrunch the extra liners strongly like me.

  • Note that you only want to scrunch or pull together the bottom of each cupcake liner.

  • Apply some hot glue to the middle of the cupcake flower and stick them in.

  • And tada here's our cute flower finished.

  • Wrap a ribbon around the present, secure it on top with some glue and while the glue is

  • still hot, place the cupcake flower on top.

  • I love this cupcake flower idea!

  • This one would be perfect for my mom, because she loves baking. and I love eating her specialties.

  • But let's leave my guilty pleasures; we still have two gift wrapping styles to go!

  • The first is perfect for your grandparents, uncles and aunts or other grown-ups.

  • It incorporates some fabric, tree twigs and some raffia ribbon.

  • Start off by distressing the longer sides of the fabric a bit, which will give the present

  • a softer look.

  • To do that, just pull out some horizontal threads.

  • Wrap the fabric around the package like this and glue the ends together.

  • Place some tree twigs on top and wrap the raffia ribbon around to tie them to the package.

  • You can use some pine tree twigs too! the green would look beautiful on the red fabric

  • resulting in a perfect Christmas present.

  • While mine twig selection works great for a birthday present at any time of the year.

  • The last gift wrapping idea is perfect for Christmas.

  • Obviously.

  • To make the Santa gift wrap you need some red fabric, cotton wool, glue and scissors.

  • First cut a triangle from the fabric for his hat.

  • To cut a nice looking triangle, fold the corner of the fabric like this and trace these two

  • lines -- you'll end up with a perfect symmetric triangle in no time.

  • Next, take the cotton wool, tear it into small pieces and form them into little balls.

  • Glue a row of cotton balls to the bottom part of the Santa's hat.

  • If you want to add your Santa some eyes, cut two bigger ovals from white paper and two

  • smaller circles from the black one.

  • Stick them to the middle, on the bottom edge of the hat.

  • And there would be no Santa without his signature white beard.

  • So let's quickly make it by gluing the cotton balls to the package.

  • Leave some space empty to represent his smile.

  • Lastly, add a big pom-pom on top of his hat.

  • And there you have it.

  • It doesn't really get any cuter than this!

  • By wrapping a gift in a unique way you tell the person how special he or she is to you.

  • This person will definitely appreciate your creativity and the time you took to make something

  • different and unexpected.

  • Will you use any of these techniques to wrap the presents for your loved ones?

  • to see all your awesome comments, likes and shares.
