  • Hey this is MatSan

  • Today is our kitchen time

  • kitchen time!

  • we're going to make

  • tea eggs

  • which is very popular in China and Taiwan

  • yea popular Chinese food

  • in Taiwan

  • you can buy it in any kind of

  • 711, convenient store

  • it cost super cheap

  • not even 1 złoty

  • it's actually something very different

  • something which you won't see in Poland

  • it's very nice to make it at home

  • especially because today is

  • I mean not today

  • but it's going to be...?

  • yea?

  • it's going to be what?

  • (Easter)

  • it's going to be Easter!

  • great

  • so you know

  • this might also be the different kind of egg you can serve

  • you know what I mean

  • so

  • here are the ingredients

  • we're gonna make a close up, you gonna see how does it look like

  • of course, eggs

  • but the boil eggs

  • also salt

  • sugar

  • any kind of black tea

  • we use the one without the bag

  • just like this

  • a stick of cinnamon

  • two star anise

  • and the last part

  • which is the soy sauce

  • make sure it's the dark one

  • and of coursezef

  • first thing first

  • we need to crack the eggs

  • so after this

  • they will be easier to absorb the sauce

  • it's done

  • and to prepare the sauce

  • you'll have to put every ingredients into the pot

  • cinnamon stick

  • star anise

  • and add

  • one big spoon of sugar

  • also salt

  • exactly the same, one big soon of salt

  • and then add the soy sauce

  • let's say half of the cup of soy sauce

  • so it's pretty a lot

  • cover the eggs with soy sauce

  • and then put the tea

  • so as I said

  • we use the tea

  • not from the tea bags

  • but it's around

  • I would say 3 tea bags

  • so now we're going to add 1.5L of boil water

  • into our eggies!

  • actually the smell is already very nice

  • like sweet and salty

  • and this tea, star anise

  • and cinnamon

  • all together

  • alright

  • and then the first thing

  • you need to put on the big fire

  • for around like 20 minutes

  • after 20 mins

  • switch it to the smallest fire

  • keep it up to 2 hrs

  • so after 2 hrs

  • it should be ready

  • but

  • if you want to have more intense flavor

  • stronger tea taste

  • you can put it with no fire

  • just soak them into the sauce

  • soyce? sauce

  • for another hour

  • and it will be like "HMM!" in your mouth

  • now we need to slightly mix them

  • all the ingredients

  • and then

  • cover it up

  • so after these 3 hours or even more

  • the eggs are ready

  • and look

  • they are totally black

  • more like brown color

  • it's really amazing

  • and now

  • we gonna peel out the shell

  • and show you why

  • we cracked them in the begging

  • now you can see how amazing it looks like

  • like a ...

  • map

  • so this is our final representation of

  • Chinese tea eggs

  • we're gonna try, right?

  • yea I guess

  • finally

  • it smells very nice

  • it's more like...

  • ohhh awesome

  • it's hard to describe this taste even

  • it's like very salty in the beginning

  • then it's going to be this

  • anise taste

  • connected with soy sauce at the same time

  • yea

  • and then

  • slightly you can feel the tea

  • tea is not really that strong

  • but you can feel it

  • but it's just Oh my God

  • and I personally like the...

  • not the egg york

  • it's the outside

  • I love this part

  • and it taste very very nice

  • in tea egg as well

  • I love it

  • it's very great really

  • and I'm pretty impressed by ourselves

  • sounds narcissist

  • but

  • because I never made any tea egg by myself in my life

  • we always buy it since it's so convenient

  • but this taste exactly like the one

  • we can buy on the street

  • that's pretty much it

  • our kitchen time
