  • Alright guys, what is going on? It is Hank here from Nintendome. So today, I’m going

  • to be showing you guys how to get the strongest Pokemon possible in Pokemon Go. Now this can

  • be accomplished by using the IV system and you guys heavily requested an explainer on

  • this down in the comments section of my last video. An IV, which by the way IV is short

  • for individual value, basically tells you the potential for your Pokemon. Levels and

  • stats actually exist in this game. Theyre just hidden from you! And each Pokemon actually

  • has a maximum potential for each of those statistics. And yes, the stat that determines

  • this potential is the IV stat. Figuring out your Pokemon’s IVs is honestly not very

  • difficult. All you need to do is go to the Google doc linked down in the description

  • below and copy it to your Google drive. After that, you can edit it, and fill in each cell

  • with the appropriate information as shown. If done correctly, the excel file will output

  • with a rough estimation of what your Pokemon’s IVs are. So as you can see, I have 2 Nidorans

  • here and enough candies to actually evolve one of them up into a Nidoking. And ultimately,

  • I’m going to choose the one with the higher IV stats. Because while CPs can be powered

  • up, IVs are locked with the Pokemon for the rest of its lifespan. As the game is right

  • now, there are no ways to change these IVs. So because of that, if you want to be really

  • hardcore, it makes more sense to evolve the Pokemon with the best IVs rather than the

  • highest CP. So yeah that’s pretty much what IVs are. They pretty much just offer you a

  • little more insight into your Pokemon and can help you determine which Pokemon you should

  • or should not evolve. Anyways guys, if you did enjoy this video, go ahead and drop a

  • like and definitely consider subscribing for more Pokemon Go and other Nintendo videos.

  • And also, feel free to share this video with your friends to help them learn more about

  • Pokemon Go as well.
