  • Mimei Land!

  • So... Cute.

  • We've arrived in Yahiko.

  • The station is super cute.

  • We've decided we want to go here... and see if the deer is happy.

  • So here in Yahiko they have this famous thing called 'panda-yaki'...

  • Obviously they also sell 'sofuto-kurimu' or 'ice cream'. We're gonna go and try it.

  • And they also have anko, custard, cheese and chocolate.

  • I have got my little panda-yaki with edamame, and I'm going to eat it!

  • Oh my god friends, this is the cutest, the CUTEST.

  • It was a long train ride here, so I am ready to eat my panda. Panda-panda-panda!

  • Mmm... That is the inside of my panda.

  • We just took a picture to go on the wall!

  • So literally our picture it going to go up here. You guys have to come and see it.

  • So if you're in Yahiko, you need to go there and eat some panda-yaki.

  • The people in there are so nice.

  • Guys, they gave us free tea. This is the best. The countryside is the best!

  • And the panda-yaki is a really kind of refreshing, interesting taste, at least the edamame one is...

  • And I'm sure the other ones are delicious too, 'cause like... I'm getting run over, I'm gonna stop vlogging.

  • We discovered a foot bath and it's holding us all up because it's so much fun.

  • Rachel: It feels really nice.

  • Halloween!

  • Okay, we're here to eat lunch now. Unfortunately, it's just a set lunch, so I can't eat anything but...

  • Everyone has donated their edamame! I have a great little spread here.

  • Thank you guys!

  • We've come to Yahiko-jinja... To see deer.

  • That is a power spot, those are small children.

  • Oh my god... Oh no! We can't get close to them!

  • Look! Look. Oh they're so cute, they look like little cats curled up on the ground... kind of.

  • We found the deer. We also saw an archery competition, which was pretty exciting.

  • I've actually never seen that before. And they had really big bows!

  • Yahiko in the rain.

  • We're gonna check out our room now!

  • Cute.

  • Vlogception!

  • Only the queen can sit there. Kasia: That's what they call me.

  • Here we see a vlogger in her natural habitat.

  • Beautiful.

  • This is a Japanese toilet. In Japan.

  • This is the bathroom. This is... the free stuff!

  • So you guys think Japan is high-tech? This is the actual truth.

  • Like if I gave you a cassette, what would you do? Millie: I think I would press a button... to open it.

  • Millie reacts to... cassette players!

  • Millie: I'm scared that I'll break it. Mimei: I'm so old.

  • 21-year old Millie tries to figure out a cassette player.

  • Millie: I've seen them before...

  • *gasps* You did it!

  • We have a very nice window seat where we can look at the rain.

  • And contemplate cassette players and other old, obsolete technology.

  • We all fell asleep. Because... that was a tiring ride to Yahiko this morning.

  • Now we're going to go get dessert. At dinner time.

  • Vending machine, vending machine, vending machine.

  • Kasia: Mimei got the prettiest ice cream. Mimei: So good... Isn't it the prettiest? Kasia: It's so pretty.

  • This is so good...

  • It's tsukimi season in Japan, so there's lot's of bunny-themed stuff, which is pretty adorable if you ask me.

  • So the shrine is lit up at night, apparently...

  • We're going to have a quick little look. We just had a delicious dessert at the cafe here.

  • It was probably the best matcha ice cream I've ever tasted. It was so, so good. It was heaven.

  • Shrine at night.

  • The light of our cameras will lead us through this darkness.

  • Okay guys, our beds are made, it's time to go to sleep, good night.

  • Good morning! Day 2 in Yahiko! We're about to get breakfast. I'm really excited 'cause I wanna drink coffee and eat food.

  • Yay!

  • We're basically staying at the most gorgeous place I've ever, ever stayed in. It's so quaint and beautiful and lovely...

  • We were late to breakfast, but they still let us eat breakfast. They're the nicest, I totally recommend

  • this place, like... I don't think I've ever had a more luxurious hotel/ryoukan experience, ever.

  • Here's a peek at another part of this hotel, this is an onsen where you can bathe all your worries away.

  • Just what we all need, right?

  • This is where put your belongings while you're in the onsen.

  • Because obviously you go into the onsen naked...

  • So what you do is you wash yourself over there before you get in.

  • And then you just bathe.

  • The alkaline in the water is supposed to help with your skin, to make it beautiful.

  • Today we're just going to hang out in Yahiko and then head back to... Or, I'm going to head back to Tokyo,

  • everyone's going to go their separate ways I guess.

  • Um, but it is raining and I know the plan was to go to a park, so I don't know what's going to happen.

  • Magical things...

  • Mao is still vlogging. We really need to go, and she's like vlogging.

  • I've never been hugely into small towns, but this one is absolutely the quaintest, most adorable cute little thing ever.

  • And I think it would make a really great tourist experience actually, like

  • if you want to go to a small town in Japan, this one is adorable, the people here are so nice,

  • and so willing to help, and... everything.

  • I think out taxi is here, so gotta go.

  • So we've come to an old, wooden school in the middle of Yahiko.

  • This is very different from a regular Japanese school. There are tatami-mat-classrooms.

  • They have whiteboards though, I don't know if they would have had them back then.

  • Okay, someone from the Meiji-jidai really likes Spongebob.

  • Or I suppose they came up with Spongebob?

  • Illuminati confirmed.

  • Okay, Rachel told me there's a ring toss. I need to find the ring toss.

  • I need to be like a Meiji-era student and throw a ring.

  • A wild Millie appears!

  • Oh, this is different from what I'm used to.

  • Pretty intense stuff here.

  • The first floor of this building is set up as a hands-on learning experience to show everybody

  • what it was like in the old days, when stuff was vintage and cool.

  • Aren't you guys glad we have modern technology?

  • Thumbs up if you remember these... Thumbs up... Ooh, look at that old thing.

  • Alright, time to challenge this ring toss.

  • Alright, no one said I was good at sports.

  • Yes!

  • One! Yeah, one!

  • Yeah!

  • Stuff. From the past. Slightly broken.

  • We're learning about the world.

  • Rachel: Oh sweet.

  • Here we see New Zealand, right at the very bottom where no one will find it.

  • Just in case there's a war.

  • The second floor is actually a community centre, so they use this for multiple things, really.

  • It's a really great insight into how people lived back then, and the kind of things that they did and learned, and yeah...

  • Education for the win! Stay in school.

  • Okay, it's very rainy, I'm afraid I might slip.

  • Going up here... Oh wow...

  • Possibly this is the old haunted house we're visiting today.

  • Oh my god a frog. Oh my god a frog. It's so well, like, camouflaged.

  • Rachel: Yeah, I literally can not see him, he stopped jumping, but no idea where he is.

  • I'm, so glad I didn't step on that froggie.

  • Haven't found any ghosts yet, but I'm still looking.

  • Bye-bye school.

  • Forever.

  • Going to get some lunch.

  • Everybody's got their lunch. Unfortunately there are no vegetarian options,

  • which is something you need to kind of expect and prepare for when you're travelling in Japan or living here.

  • But it's okay, just bring something from home.

  • So basically, everything here is adorable, the people are really nice, and I totally recommend it if you can eat the food definitely.

  • I have an umbrella all thanks to the lovely, sweet, kind owner of this restaurant. Oh my god.

  • When people do like something kind for me, it really like hits me in the heart.

  • Like, especially when like they absolutely didn't have to and basically, this town...

  • Everyone here has been so kind, and so nice, and so wonderful, like...

  • This is probably one of the most gorgeous settings for a shrine and one of the most gorgeous shrines I've ever seen.

  • The mountains in the back just make the shrine look absolutely heavenly. It is so beautiful here.

  • Okay so I went and prayed here, and I also bought a little token just because I haven't been having the best luck

  • and a little bit of luck would help me out a lot.

  • And I got one for Duncan as well. I'm not really religious at all, or superstitious or anything like that

  • but like, I don't know. I don't want to pass up some luck.

  • Me and Rachel are gonna check out the park before we head back.

  • This is the best little town ever.

  • And we're just trying to figure out how to get into the park. We're right next to the park but not quite sure how to get in.

  • Oh, but that fence doesn't go the whole way across, so that must be it.

  • Tada!

  • We'll go through there and end up in another world! Dunnn...

  • Okay, but can I take Duncan with me? Rachel: Okay.

  • Yeah, we better go pick up our husbands.

  • Ooh, oh my god. A call...

  • We've got to sing something... And the rocket's red glare.

  • Rachel: Thanks. You're very patriotic.

  • The bombs bursting in air!

  • I went blue, after coming out of the tunnel I look blue now.

  • Good job camera.

  • We found a quaint little red bridge. This is the power spot that Rachel made.

  • Rachel's filming a spider. She looks gleeful.

  • This Yahiko journey has been amazing, it's been great to explore, but it has been raining all day and I'm starting to

  • feel a little bit damp, so we're gonna head back to the station, head back to Tokyo, head back to my cats and my husband, and yeah...

  • Bye-bye Yahiko.

  • As you might have noticed, I went on this trip with a bunch of other awesome youtubers,

  • I've linked them all in the description box down below, so take a look at their channels and remember to hit the subscribe button and like this video if you enjoyed it.

  • Hopefully, I'll see you in my next video. Bye!

  • You guys I have bag envy!

  • I'm home.

  • And there's my little Cinnamon.

  • Hi Cinnamon, hi!

  • Does it smell like Yahiko, Cinnamon? Hi, Latte. Duncan: It's the smell of young boys.

  • Duncan: Look how he refuses to get off. Mimei: Yeah, no he's like, once he's on, he's on for like a long time I think.

  • Boo! I hope that when I play this footage back, there's a ghost behind me.
