  • I'm a colouring artist at Madame Tussauds London.

  • I basically come into work and make sure that all the figures are looking amazing.

  • I paint the figures, I do some touchups in the morning and make sure they look great.

  • My definite favorite thing about Madame Tussauds London is the history

  • and, in fact, Madame Tussaud herself.

  • She came over from France during the French Revolution,

  • and she set up her original site on Baker Street, and we moved here just after she died.

  • We've been here ever since.

  • We've survived a fire in the 1920s, bombing during World War Two, and we're still here.

  • I think it's absolutely amazing.

  • The three things I would say about Madame Tussauds London are,

  • the hairs of the figures are inserted one by one individually.

  • The entire head.

  • We still are using some of the same techniques that Madame Tussaud herself used all those years ago.

  • It's very historical.

  • It's interactive. A lot of people don't realize that.

  • You can go and get up close and personal.

  • You can touch them, you can hug them.

  • You can do all these things with the figures.

  • One of our most recent and most popular attractions ever, I would say, is the new One Direction boys.

  • People actually get emotional when they see them there.

  • Like it's an amazing response.

  • The Queen is another really amazing figure and attraction.

  • Over her reign, the last 60 years, we've had 23 figures of her made.

  • And always we've worked very closely with the palace.

  • We have a great relationship there.

  • My favorite part of London, the most inspiring part for me is Portobello Road.

  • I absolutely love it. I think it's so creative.

  • It's all sorts of musicians and artists and characters.

  • You get a lot of the good old London characters in that area.

  • The one thing I can see in London time and time again and still be absolutely amazed by is the view of London from the bridges over the Thames.

  • I just think it's absolutely amazing, especially at like sunset or sunrise.

  • Every time. It's always, it's like wow, I live here!
