  • The Intelligent Pre-Brew Aroma System I.P.B.A.S.

  • I.P.B.A.S. is a pre-brewing process which allows the maximum aroma to develop from coffee of any blend or roast.

  • A small amount of water is heated and fed into the brewing unit where it wets the ground coffee.

  • The ground coffee swells and the aroma compounds can develop freely.

  • The Intelligent Pre-Brew Aroma System I.P.B.A.S. always adjusts the amount of water to the amount of ground coffee selected.

  • Pulse Extraction Process (P.E.P.)

  • The amount of water programmed for the espresso is now prepared.

  • The Pulse Extraction Process is used to obtain the maximum aroma even with very small speciality coffees such as an espresso or ristretto.

  • The water is pressed through the ground coffee in short bursts, optimising the extraction time.

  • Thanks to the perfect pressure, the water is forced to flow around each granule of coffee.

  • The freshly brewed coffee flows into the cup, crowned by a perfect crema and a balanced flavour.

  • After brewing, the brewing unit presses the remaining water out of the ground coffee.

  • This water flows into the drip tray.

  • Next, the brewing unit moves upwards and the coffee grounds are pushed into the coffee grounds container.

  • At the same time, the vacuum brewing unit draws the remaining liquids out of the pipes and dis-charges them into the drip tray.

  • The system is ready to prepare the next speciality coffee.
