Hey guys, it’s Ro!
-
Welcome to another Nerdy Nummies!
-
Today we are going to be making something very fun. You guys really like those
-
Snicker Pops that I made last week, and I’ve been getting a lot more requests for
-
something Minecraft. You guys love Minecraft!
-
And, we have done something Minecraft in the past, but, I had to show you this
-
recipe because it is so easy. It’s really good for birthday parties, or if you
-
have a Minecraft themed party.
-
So let’s get started!
-
The things you will need, will be: Mini sized candy bars, you can get them
-
any kind you’d like. Here I’ve got Snickers, Milky Ways, Musketeers, you want the
-
mini size because they are square. Not the fun size, which is rectangle, or the
-
bite size which is smaller, these are the perfect size!
-
You will also need pink melting chocolate, red melting chocolate, brown
-
melting chocolate, green melting chocolate, black melting chocolate, and
-
a little bit of white melting chocolate, to blend it.
-
And, lollipop sticks, some skewers or a toothpick to poke the hole in our candy,
-
and a piece of styrofoam to help our candy pops dry.
-
Alright, let’s put it all together!
-
The first thing that you’re gonna do is unwrap all of your candies, and one for me!
-
Mmmm-hmmm-hmmm-hmmmm!
-
Now you’re gonna take your… Oh geez!
-
Now you’re gonna take your kabob stick, or your toothpick, take one of your candies,
-
and what I do is I just spin, spin, spin, spin, make a hole right in the middle.
-
You want to push it about 3/4 of the way down.
-
Then you’re gonna take a lollipop stick, dip it into a little bit
-
of melted chocolate, I just heated some up over here.
-
And then, stick it right in there, twist, twist, twist, twist, twist!
-
There you go! Just like that.
-
And then I’m just sticking them on top of a cookie sheet with a piece of
-
wax paper. And we're gonna do this to the rest of our candies, then put
-
them in the freezer for about 10 minutes to chill.
-
Now we’re going to dip them into chocolate, I have melted the brown chocolate and
-
poured it into a cup because it just makes it easier to dip.
-
The first things that we’re gonna make are the grass blocks.
-
So, you’re just gonna take a pop, dip it straight down until it touches the
-
lollipop, and then pull it straight up.
-
Then you’re gonna let the excess chocolate drip off, give it a little jiggle.
-
Once you’ve got it dipped, you’re just gonna stick it over here in the foam
-
to let it dry. Now I’m gonna do that to a few more of my pops.
-
I waited about 5 minutes for the chocolate to harden, chocolate dries really
-
quickly, I love working with it!
-
And so what I’m gonna do now, is I’ve heated up a little bit of green chocolate,
-
and I’m just going to dip the tip to make it look like a grass block.
-
And again, just let the excess green chocolate drip off.
-
And then to be fancy for details, you don’t have to do this, but I’m taking a
-
mini little paint brush, and I’m just gonna dip it into the chocolate and
-
paint on some little squares on the front.
-
Since we’ve already got our green melting chocolate heated up, now we’re gonna
-
make the creeper facesssssssssssssss.
-
I’m sorry, that was a Minecraft joke!
-
OK, now to make some creepers!
-
Same thing, you’re just gonna dip it in until the green hits the lollipop.
-
Pull it straight up, let the excess green drip off, then you’re just gonna
-
do this to as many creeper faces as you want to make!
-
Just melted the red chocolate, and now we’re gonna make some TNT blocks!
-
Wait till the red touches the lollipop stick, and then pull it out.
-
Now you’re just gonna do that to the rest of your TNT blocks.
-
Last but not least I just melted the pink melting chocolate to make little
-
Minecraft piggies. And you can make whatever designs you’d like, these are just
-
the ones that I’m making today, but you can make anything!
-
The little, the little chickens, or the little sheep, whatever you’d like.
-
I just melted the pink melting chocolate to make little Minecraft piggies.
-
Same deal, you’re just gonna dip them in until the chocolate hits the pop.
-
And now we’ve got all of our candy bar pops dipped, we’re going to decorate! This is one of my favorit things!
-
So in my hands I’ve got green and black AmeriColor writing gourmet pens,
-
they’re edible ink!
-
So, first we are going to decorate our green pops, to look like the
-
creeper faccccccccccccce!
-
Now to decorate our TNT block, all you’re gonna need to do is, heat up a
-
little bit of your white melted chocolate, and get one of your little paint
-
brushes again. And then you’re just going to paint a strip all the way
-
across the top. Then you’re gonna take your black edible pen and write TNT
-
on top once the chocolate has dried.
-
Last, but not least, we’re gonna be making the Minecraft piggies, we’re gonna be
-
using white and black chocolate for the eyes, and then we’re gonna be taking a
-
little paintbrush, and using a little bit of pink food coloring to make the
-
little pixels.
-
Nom-nom-nom-nom-nom!
-
Ta-da!
-
Here are the Candy Bar Minecraft Pops that we made today, they were so fun and
-
easy! Just perfect for parties!
-
I designed 4 of them, but you can pick anything that you’d like.
-
I did creeper faces, Minecraft pig, grass blocks and TNT. But you can make little
-
sheep, or cake, or little chickens, whatever you’d like!
-
And, this is a really fun idea for displaying them, if you don’t want to leave
-
them on this big foam block.
-
I just took a glass cup, filled it with Jelly Beans, and you just, take your
-
little candy pop, and you just wiggle him in there.
-
Boop!
-
Oooooooh it’s so cute!
-
I will be posting lots of pictures of these candy pops on my Facebook, Tumblr,
-
Twitter and Instagram.
-
And if you guys make these or any of your own versions, please send me
-
the pictures, I love to re-blog them and post them, I just get a big kick
-
out of seeing your baking creations.
-
And, if you have any suggestions of what you’d like me to make next, please leave
-
me a comment down below and I will do my best to make it happen!
