But see, in 2018 I swore I was going to tell you the truth.

This is something I used to do 20 to 30 times a day.

I used to do it without even knowing I was doing it.

My name is Princey A., and I was a chronic musturbator.

Well, I do that too, but musturbating is different.

See, musturbating is a term coined by American psychologist Albert Ellis.

Ellis said, "If you look at the things that anger you, upset you, or frustrate you, 99% of the time you have a must, an ought, or a should in your thinking, i.e., things must go the way that I want them to." She ought not to say that.

So my ex-girlfriend didn't want me liking other girls' pictures on Facebook.

She would get mad, and then we would argue, and

then I would get pissed off because I thought this was stupid.

See, we both were musturbating at the same time and shooting ourselves.

Her thinking was, "He shouldn't like girls' pictures on Facebook.

He must only like mine." And my thinking was, "She shouldn't feel this way." But why shouldn't she feel this way?

I mean, if she has low self-esteem or doesn't trust me for whatever reasons, she should feel exactly this way.

I was driving last week, and I was about to make this right turn, and

then this car cuts up behind me, speeds up, and gets ahead of me, and I got mad.

And then I started realizing, "Hey, I'm musturbating in the car." I have this idea that they must not inconvenience me in illegally crossing to the bike lane, but

People do what they want to do on the road.

And once I realized I was musturbating, I immediately felt better.

You are musturbating when you have a demand on reality instead of a preference.

Even if your preference doesn't go your way, you still might get a little salty.

But when you have a demand and it doesn't go your way, you begin to argue with reality and make yourself miserable.

Musturbation leads to feelings of anxiety, worthlessness, insecurity, exhaustion.

So in closing, whenever you get seriously upset, look for your irrational musts.

And ask yourself, "Am I musturbating right now?" Look for your must until you find it.

You will develop self-awareness, and you'll laugh.

And humor, as you know, helps every situation.
