Crimson Desert is getting updated so quickly based on player feedback after the public release that it seems like the developers have been mashing on sprint.

Here are the biggest changes in Update 1.00.03.

Since this video is covering biggest changes and not all changes, I would check out the link here for the developer's exhaustive breakdown of everything, as we won't be covering things like fixes for broken quest progression.

We'll also drop the link in the description of this video.

This patch is now live on Steam, PlayStation, and

Xbox, but will be coming to Epic Games Store and Mac at a later date.

First we have the tweaks made to character movement and control methods across gamepad and mouse and keyboard.

Responsiveness to jumping, reaction speed of the interaction and menu AI, and

to movement controls while using mouse and keyboard have all been adjusted, as well as adding keyboard shortcuts common to other games.

I for inventory, K for skills, J for journal, and M for map.

These changes are all on top of small tweaks and bug fixes to ensure things work as they should, including inputs changed in the controls menu not working correctly.

It's hard to just say responsiveness and have it mean anything, so I can confirm after having played the game extensively before release, movement now feels much better, especially jumping.

They've also said this is not the end of control improvements across both pad and mouse and keyboard,

and that they'll continue to tweak things.

Many complaints have centered around the lack of storage options in Crimson Desert, as there is a ton of stuff to pick up and there were not a lot of slots to put it in.

The storage case is first in your temporary resting place in Hernand before establishing your camp at Howling Hill in Chapter 3,

and then it moves to camp, and it has 240 slots for you to fill up.

This is the same storage chest that acted as your supply chest before right behind Carl, so what you collect from Grey Maid missions and what's been picked up by pets will also have been added here, so it's likely already partially filled.

Either way, it's a huge boost to carrying capacity compared to what we had before.

Let's go over some small but vital quality of life updates.

Many new abyss nexuses have been added to the map, meaning you can fast travel around much more readily.

Although these are the ones I already have unlocked, so I can't tell you exactly where all of the new ones are yet, just that there's more.

Skill observation, even on bosses, only needs to be performed once to unlock a skill, as opposed to the first method where you had to fill the bar, and

the second method where you had to meet a certain number of set times observing.

but it will now completely fill the first time you see the move performed.

The camera has also been tweaked during these occurrences as it was a bit squirrely before.

Trees are broken up more quickly with the axe now, and you don't have to aim before chopping.

Or veins are now marked passively if you pass by within a certain range.

The marksman and archery contest minigames are now easier.

Certain items in witches' shops are restocked daily,

and many more small changes have been added to make your life a bit easier.

The Red Devil, an early sticking point for players, so much so that we have a full video boss guide you should watch that was done by a pretty smart dude I hear, has been nerfed once again, with particular attention paid to the run-up to the boss.

Health and attack power of certain bosses has been reduced.

Bosses are now more easily stunned as their gauge fills up more quickly, and

several bug fixes involving certain weaknesses not triggering or people being in boss fights that shouldn't be,

On PlayStation 5 and Xbox, there's now a toggle for 120Hz mode inside the settings, as that was previously causing image quality issues for console players.

On PC, settings should now be saved correctly after changing them and when restarting the game.

Cats are no longer invisible on minimum performance quality.

Issues with ray regeneration and ray reconstruction have been fixed,

and on Mac various crashing, rendering, and freezing errors related to graphics have been patched out.

They've also fixed an issue that blocked Xbox players from playing when offline.

As I said up top, there are more small changes and more detail to the ones I did mention that are all on the official website.
