From Donald Trump of that five-day pause on the strikes on the energy infrastructure, uh, on in Iran.

More reports coming in of Iran launching fresh strikes on U.S. bases, this time in Kuwait.

So Iran not letting up when it comes to the counteroffensive against the United States and Israel.

Prabhu, they are so by words and by actions, Iran is making it extremely clear it will not back down.

Iran has made it very clear that it is not going to back down.

And Iran, I think, had prepared very well for this sort of a situation.

It is reported in the media that Iran has about 3,000 missiles which are capable of striking at very long distances.

It has a very, very large number of drones.

And by all accounts, it has only exhausted a small percentage of these.

So its capacity to continue fighting is beyond doubt.

Then Iran has shown a very, very deliberate strategy, firstly of escalating the conflict horizontally by striking at various other countries, including those in the Gulf, and

also vertically by striking at, uh, desalination plants and oil refineries and gas plants.

So it has been able to show that it can strike big blows and cause a lot of hurt.

And that is something that, uh, could have been a factor in influencing Donald Trump's thinking.

Now, I agree with, uh, Ambassador Sajjadhar that, uh, it is the IRGC which now is the bulwark of Iran's resistance.

And what has happened is that the IRGC, which is very well spread all across the 31 provinces of Iran, has been able to set up a decentralized power structure.

And that is why even if you eliminate the head of the IRGC, the power structure still stands quite direct because it is decentralized.

It is able to fight back any sort of, uh, perception of an attack or a threat.

Now, let me also just mention that one doesn't know what is going to happen in the next five days.

Whether President Trump will really hold on to his word and whether he will try and talk to the Iranians.

One doesn't know how the Iranians will react.

But one hopes that there will be a solution because this crisis is hurting everybody.

We have a lot of imports from, from this particular region.

But it all depends on the main actors and certainly a very great extent on President Donald Trump.

The world is turning on Truth Social posts pretty much, uh, coming in from Donald Trump.

And, uh, Ray Locker, I want to get your perspective on this.

You can see the strikes coming in on the American bases across the Gulf nations.

America was once upon a time the security guarantor of all these Arab nations.

Yet despite all the firepower, all the technology, these cheap drones coming in from Iran are able to cause that much damage on these American bases, uh, across the Gulf.

The entire moniker of American power in the Gulf has pretty much been shattered by the Iranian regime.

And I mean, I say that as somebody who is a proud American, you know.

I mean, uh, I value the reputation this country has had for decades as a force for good around the world.

We're losing that because of the actions of a madman.

And I think the rest of the world knows that, except for a small percentage of Americans who think this guy is some kind of genius playing multi-general, uh, dimensional chess.

I mean, that's clear from watching him, from listening to him.

I mean, these countries around the world who valued us are looking and saying, "We can't trust the United States." Just recently, in the last few days, we had former Defense Secretary James Mattis, a Marine General, Trump's first Defense Secretary, says the rest of the world now looks at us as predatory, that we can't be trusted.

A waste of, uh, a reputation that's been built up over the last 80 years.

Um, and, you know, I don't know where we go from here.

Personally, we can't get rid of this guy fast enough.

I mean, I can't wait till 2029 when he's no longer president and we can move on to somebody else who values America's role in the world.

And, uh, can you tell me about the Republican pulse?

What are the Republican lawmakers in Congress, uh, talk, uh, you know, deciding about this war?

Are they looking at the political costs, uh, when it comes to the midterm elections?

Any pressure coming in, uh, from Republican lawmakers on Donald Trump to firmly end this entire conflict given the direct impact on the American economy?

I mean, people like Congressman Don Bacon of Nebraska, uh, Republican, military guy who's not running for reelection, those are the people who speak out, the people who aren't up for reelection or retiring.

And they're saying, "Look, this doesn't make sense." Um, you had Trump's counterterrorism guy, Joe Kent, quit a couple of days ago saying this doesn't make sense.

And I personally think Joe Kent's kind of a nut job, um, and

kind of flirts with, you know, neo-Nazi types.

But he kind of crystallized what a lot of people are saying.

If you talk to rank-and-file Republicans privately, they say this guy doesn't know what he's doing.

But you put a TV camera on him, then they're like, they think he's a genius.

And, you know, and most journalists know better.

They've talked to these people in private and they know they don't have a lot of confidence in Trump.

But enough part of the Republican electorate loves Trump.

And so they're not going to get crossways with him.

So there won't be any significant challenge coming in from the Republican side to Donald Trump's war, no matter what damage it caused, uh, to America's image abroad or even at home, the damage that will do to the American economy.

So that's pretty much the kind of advantage Donald Trump has in waging this kind of a conflict on the Middle East, uh, pretty much.

While everyone says he's Taco Trump, he's chickening out at the last moment.

Uh, he's not suffering anything, uh, politically back home.

He's still, as many Republicans say, Teflon Don when it comes to this.

But hopefully the midterms should give him a kind of a wake-up call.

But we'll have to wait and see how that plays out.
