Tonight, Kathy Ireland, supermodel turned super mogul, accusing her former business partners of mismanaging her finances to the tune of $100 million, which they deny.

The star, once dubbed one of the most successful self made women in America, is speaking out exclusively to Nightline co anchor Juju Chang.

I love doing hard work, meaningful work, but when someone takes advantage, that's not okay.

And if they're going to do it to me, who else will be a victim of this?

Kathy Ireland, the supermodel turned super mogul, once estimated by Forbes to be worth $420 million, reclaiming her name, her brand and possibly $100 million, according to a bombshell lawsuit.

What you found were debt, debt and loans and financial transactions that Kathy had no clue about.

These were debts that they made unbeknownst to us.

And they made it under the company with my name on it.

They refused to cooperate, to even participate.

They were her managers, they were her business partners, they were her confidants.

But ultimately they were her fiduciaries.

And they took that relationship of trust and they abused it.

Now she's suing multiple longtime business partners.

Ireland claims their management of her fortune was a sham, alleging she along with her husband and mother were betrayed on a staggering and unconscionable scale over more than three decades.

And I'm not going to idly stand by and allow anyone to lie, to abuse, to hurt my family.

You say in the lawsuit that you were treated as workhorses and a piggy bank.

She was in front of the camera and they got rich off of it.

During the 80s and 90s, she was the it girl.

A supermodel who famously graced the COVID of spring Sports illustrated swimsuit issue three times, appearing in the magazine for 13 consecutive years.

She became an actress, appearing on Melrose Place.

Well, it took me a while, Palmer, but I finally got him to sleep with me.

Kathy's quick step was too reserved for the judges.

And then bringing her celebrity to Dancing with the Stars.

But at the height of her fame, she made a career pivot, launching her brand, gracing the covers of Forbes and calling her one of the most successful self made women in America, even becoming a mentee of Warren Buffett.

Mr. Buffett, whom I met through Irv Blumpkin from the Nebraska Furniture Mart, just amazing family.

He said that fashion and home is less cyclical than in apparel.

I love to seek out people who have a lot of life experience and learn from them.

Her company, Kathy Ireland Worldwide, promoting countless products bearing her name on TJ Maxx and Walmart and on hsn.

My company, Kathy Ireland worldwide started in 1993.

Over the years, Ireland selling over 17,000 different products.

What was one of the more sticky moments for you when you realized, oh wait, something's up here.

Our son and his wife purchased a house on their own.

They had to move and we wanted to help them out.

And our son said if dad can co sign, that would be great.

And when we were denied the right to co sign because our credit had been destroyed, that was a big red flag.

Have you gained an understanding of why your credit rating was so bad?

I don't know all of it, but we believed our bills were being paid and they were not.

What was your reaction when you discovered that?

Ireland and her attorney sat down exclusively with ABC News to discuss the recent filing.

Do you Know what they did with the money?

We suspect they took out a mortgage on the house.

We suspect that even though there was a life insurance policy purchased, that they somehow took the equity.

We were very young, and my husband and I starting a family and seeking to be responsible.

These were people we trusted, especially when I came out of that modeling industry.

These people appeared to be very different, and we had no reason to not trust.

We did not know that things were being withheld from us.

In a statement to ABC News, the defendants say this matter stems from an alleged $25 million fraud claim brought against Ireland last year, and

they are disputing recent claims as for false, defamatory and unsupported by any documentation, adding that all loans in question bear Kathy Ireland's signature and that the individuals referenced have been partners and equal shareholders from the outset, not business managers.

None of that makes it okay if they were business partners versus managers versus best friends.

Her business now operating under a new company name, Kathy Ireland Brands.

Personally, I don't talk about my finances, and I don't judge success by it either.
