Why is everyone, especially women, reading gay comics these days?

Alright, so as you might have already noticed, today we're talking about bls, especially in its manhwa form, which is basically a webtoon, but

It's fine to be in the community, it's great, can have fun.

But over the years I've noticed quite a few interesting things that happen in these stories and within the community that I want to be talking about today.

We like to call this kind of thing a BL manhwa, which like I said, is basically like a gay comic.

BL means boys love and it's basically men loving men comics.

Now let's see how Wikipedia defines that.

Boys love, also known by its abbreviation, BL is a genre of fictional media originating in Japan that depicts homoerotic relationships between male characters.

But I just wanted to say that most BL man was these days are actually Korean.

And we're only going to talk about Korean ones because I don't read any other languages.

Well, at first glance it seems pretty normal, right?

Many people, especially, like I said, women talk about it, obsess over it, or even create it, and

But if we take a closer look, or not even a closer look because you could see it from a mile away, there's something weird about it.

Maybe not even weird, maybe disgusting or morally wrong.

So here's what I've observed about like 80% of the BLS that I've read or heard about, but

There obviously are some exceptions, but this goes for like 80% of the BLS that I read.

We have one, usually the main character that's very small, skinny, usually pale as well, cute, young or very young looking, poor as fuck, and

Not sexually experienced, gay, and oftentimes rather feminine.

Here are a few examples of how that might look like this Guy is like 26, a physical therapist in quite a lot of debt.

For some reason, we don't even know why he lost his parents.

Like I said, he's very poor and underweight and kind of feminine.

This guy is also debt and he's poor and he's also a student and he's very small and skinny.

And even if they're not all poor, they usually are.

Like, this goes for like 99% of the BLS that I read.

They're usually all very small and frail.

And this isn't about, like, my personal preferences because you could just say, like, well, if you read those kind of things, obviously you're gonna see them a lot.

The most famous manhwas these days are what I just literally described.

And then obviously there is a love interest because it's a romance.

And that love interest looks something like this.

He's big, muscular, old, or just looks older than the main character.

Oftentimes he's also straight for some reason before meeting the main character.

And then the main character somehow turns him gay or bi.

And here are a few examples of what that might look like.

An MMA boxer who r pes his physical therapist.

And he rips a painter that he hired to paint him while having sex.

we're not even going to get into that because, like, you get the point.

And the amount of crimes that this man has committed is.

The two men meet for some odd reason, usually because one of them hired the other or they need the other.

The main character acts weird and is sexually assaulted by their love interest, which is just great.

And then at some point, they end up together, happily ever after.

By the way, did you catch what I just said?

Most bls actually contain R Pe like actual.

It's kind of like a normal thing to read.

In bls, if you've read a lot of them, you won't be confused or shocked if you see one anymore.

It's just normalized, at least in that community.

Another thing you might have noticed at the very beginning is that some love interests are actually straight at the very beginning, or they still identify as straight for the entire thing.

And then, obviously, there's the difference in size.

It's kind of frustrating to read sometimes because of the size difference.

Nobody's that big and nobody's that f cking small.
