Basic passive voice

We wanted to create that hypnotic and immersive cinematic experience to ensure that the film is felt not only heard.

I'm the sound designer and supervising sound editor of Sirat.

We needed to have different sonic personalities in the vehicles.

We have the contrast of the biggest truck with the vehicle of the father.

It's smaller, sounds like it's forced, it's not prepared to cross the desert.

You hear all the gravel, the chassis of the vehicle.

We have little rocks and dust impacting the father's vehicle.

It's aggressive action of the rivers with our characters, and

we wanted to have that kind of hostility between them.

It sounds like it's going to break in any moment.

The desert, it's not like a real space, it's a mental space for the characters.

To create the tension in that scene, we needed to deconstruct all the sounds of the tracks.

We manipulated the sound of the engine, the malfunction when the first explosion hits, The different layers of the explosion, the heavy explosion, but

also rattling glasses, contortions of metal.

We created the massive wave of the explosion going through the desert and then coming back to find the unique character of Seurat.

I learned to be more attached to my emotions and not to my standard rational process.
