This is MKBHD's hyper functional and very expensive desk.

And this is a functioning replica complete with a computer that's 10 times cheaper.

Two knockoff Pro display XDRs, and one item Marques is now daily driving.

The biggest difference, this entire replica, including the desk itself, costs less than just one product that Marques is currently using.

But before I can show you the full knockoff, let's have Marques give us the full tour of his setup.

All right, so it is Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

And this is my current desk setup to start the.

So this desk surface itself is huge and it is a custom sized next desk air.

The top is white aluminum, it's thin and it's really supported all the way across so it doesn't bow or anything like that.

And it is a big enough surface to hold all of the things on my desk.

The chair I've been sitting on for years now, I've talked about these since probably 2ft, 15, 20 years ago.

I don't know if I've had this exact one as long, but

I've had a Herman Miller embody at my desk since college and I graduated from college a decade ago.

I've got a bunch of accessories, peripherals and little tiny things on my desk, so I'll get to the main stuff in a second.

One of them for the mouse, one of them for the accessories and tech that I keep in temporary ways at my desk.

And this is the phones that I have not wiped yet that I may switch back to that I'm testing or using in some way.

So all the other phones that I'm not testing or using anymore are in storage.

But I still have my Pixel 10 Pro, my iPhone Air, and

my Samsung Galaxy Trifold over here face down on this nice soft mousepad surface.

So I've got two power related accessories here.

One is this Belkin charger under my monitor stand which just has a MagSafe charger, another wireless charger, and

Most of the time I'm not using it and just out of the way and I.

This is pretty old, but it's a wireless charger.

Yeah, Oppo makes This, it's just a generic wireless charger, but

it's up so that more variety of sizes of devices can work on it and I don't have to align it.

So this is a daily driver setup right here in front of me.

it looks a little weird and I'm fine with it.

It's my keyboard, my mouse and my trackpad.

I have them both going on at the same time because I usually use the mouse over here, which is my Logitech MX Master 4.

And then when I'm editing, I specifically use the trackpad to do my horizontal scrolling and to do my swiping between spaces.

So I do a lot of the gestures on the trackpad and the clicking on the mouse and the keyboard in the middle, which is my Keytron Q1 Max with a couple custom key caps on it.

I discovered them right around Covid because everyone got really into webcams because of remote work.

So now we get to audio stuff, which I've had maybe the longest term out of anything.

At my desk we've got the studio monitors on either side of my displays.

They're sitting on these Auralex like foam pads and they're pointed at my ears.

They were the best 20 years ago, therefore they're still the best.

I have my headphones over here, which are my editing open back studio headphones.

I like open back because I'm in a studio environment where I can like turn around and talk to people and then turn around and get back to work.

And they both plug into my Apollo Twin by Universal Audio.

Lets me change between the headphones and the studio monitors.

So in the center of the desk, what I look at every day is it's two displays.

And the two of them are right above this, I think Grove made makes this.

And then I lower the monitors so I can store little trinkets and stuff like pens and Sharpies in here.

I could name every monitor I've had in this spot for the last 20 years, but

Protisplay XDR has gotten the job done for regular daily use and a lot of video editing all the way.

on top of my desk, is the computer I'm using now, the Mac Pro.

They kind of stopped updating it years ago.

They have since made an M3 Ultra Mac Studio.

And when they eventually make an M4 Ultra and an M5 Ultra, I don't know if they're gonna make a Mac Pro with that in it.

I keep using it because I also have like 90 terabytes of storage and a PCI slot in there.

Yeah, as of 2.25pm on January 27, that is my desk setup.

I've also been told that Andrew wants to do something with my desk for some sort of surprise.

And I greenlit it, so I guess I have no choice.

Eric and I came up with this video idea like three months ago where we wanted to create Marques's desk as cheap as possible.

Like almost look identical, but be like a third, a fourth, a fifth of the price.
