Now Rick seems a little pissed with his video title.

We also were so pissed off by these companies, which are now multibillion dollar companies that stole independent artists music to build their platforms, got zero licenses the first two years that they were in business.

But with that being said, let's take a look at what Rick Beato is pissed off about today.

So a friend of mine sent me this LA Times article that I'm chuckling about now that I just read and it goes like this.

Sienna Rose has achieved a level of breakout stardom envied by musicians everywhere.

Over the last four months, she's developed a fan base of more than 4 million monthly Spotify listeners.

Her her star has risen in tandem with that of Olivia Dean, a fellow neo soul vocalist who took home this year's Grammy for Best New Artist.

Rose's Spotify biography extol sir is not just a performer, but

a storyteller at heart, singing every word with a sense of truth and beauty.

But Rose didn't attend the Grammys earlier this month because she's neither a neo soul artist nor the possessor of he's so funny with the expression on his face.

He's like he's holding back so much right now.

The soul to begin with, she is AI top to bottom, an algorithmic interpretation of real artists in a genre it was built to exploit and ultimately replace.

It goes on to say AI generated songs now make up nearly 40% of music uploaded to streaming services daily.

These songs are becoming more impressive by the day too.

In one study, only 3% of respondents could reliably distinguish between AI generated and human generated music, and

I'm pretty sure that information came from Deezer.

So Deezer released the information that roughly 39% of all music delivered to its platform daily is AI music.

And that's roughly 60,000 AI tracks every day.

As of late January, six of Spotify's top 50 trending songs in the US were fully AI generated.

So anytime I hear that something is possibly AI, I click on their Instagram to see what's going on there.

So I click on the link provided here in Spotify and it brings me to this page.

Sienna Rose, who has 35 posts and 6,971 followers.

That's not very many followers for someone with about 4 million monthly listeners.

I'm looking at her account right now because I was just curious because right now there's about 100,000 views on Rick's video.

Because of the free publicity that this account is now getting, she has gained 20 new followers.

As a point of comparison, let's look at another artist that's in the same style, like a kind of Neo soul.

Unlike Sienna Rose, this song has 192 million plays.

She also has a song called monopoly that's got 202 million plays.

That's the amount of plays you would expect for someone that has 4 million monthly listeners.

And if you go to her Instagram, she has 2.1 million followers there, which is what you would expect with a real human being.

If we go back to Sienna Rose's Instagram and you click these three buttons to see about her account, it says, date joined, 2022 account based in Norway.

Well, if you hear her talk, I'm not saying anything, but if you watch this video.

So I keep seeing these comments everywhere.

Well, I feel real and I.3 million people listening feel the same.

All right, so we actually did a deep dive on Sienna Rose a few weeks ago because at that time, the Spotify streams were still under like, a million.

But it was very noteworthy because again, there didn't seem to be a real world footprint of like, is this a real person?

But I did go and inspect and with AI videos and trying to mimic human skin and stuff like that, it's getting pretty good.

I mean, is it possible that she's a real artist?

I guess it's possible that she only has 11 million plays of her biggest song on here and that she has 4 million monthly listeners.

And these other people that have 4 million monthly listeners have songs with hundreds of millions of plays.

It's possible that she has 6,900 Instagram followers.

When someone that has the same amount of monthly listeners on Spotify has 2 million, it's possible that her videos are real and that she's a real person that lives in Norway.

It's possible that Norway has magical disappearing door frames.

And it's possible that Deezer accidentally labeled it as AI, but it's real.

So Deezer is a standout platform that actually discloses if something is made with AI and Deezer has developed patent pending technology to identify AI music.

And they want everyone to know it's if something is AI and in fact they even carve it out so that the royalties that are paid, that if something is AI music, it does not receive royalties.

So they've taken a stand since the beginning to try to protect human made music and more specifically to protect the earnings received on music platforms that they be paid to the human creators.

Why is Spotify pushing stuff that appears to be AI and not labeling it?

People that I know, if they know that it's AI, they don't want to waste their time listening to it.

Okay, when we looked at Sienna Rose a few weeks ago, our issue was that on the videos being like, I'm a real person, you don't think I'm real?

Right, she sings, carries a sense of truth and beauty, making Sienna Rose not just a performer, but

Okay, so there's this little thing called consumer fraud.

And it's a big deal when you lie to the public at large saying you are somebody that you are not or you are something that you are not.

Okay, fine, it may be a great song, but I want to know what I'm listening to.

There is a reason they put the ingredients on things because you don't want to be eating a bunch of crap.

It least on Twizzlers it says artificially flavor.

I want to know that I'm listening to something that's not real, that wasn't created by a human, but

it was created from a bunch of actual real artists, real work.

It's just a bunch of fragments stolen and recombined together to mimic something that is real, but

Somehow Spotify is letting this thing go and letting it gather what I assume is fake listeners.

They may not be fake listeners, but I assume they're fake.

Listeners just because it doesn't seem to obey the laws of gravity at all or any of the laws of physics compared to other real artists.

And in fact one of the current CO CEOs of Spotify had this to say, quote, a growing catalog has always been very good for us in reference to the rise of AI generated music.

Quote, it attracts new users, drives engagement and builds fandom.

While the music may be generated on various AI platforms, the point is that regardless of where the music is made, the cultural moment always happens on Spotify.

AKA bigger catalogs, more users, more engagement, more subscriptions and more advertising dollars for Spotify.

So really going back to Deezer and I'm setting up a meeting with them so we can discuss their tech and how I would potentially like to integrate them into our class action lawsuits.
