Some say that the spirits of former citizens that were buried there and left behind still called it home.

When construction began Nearby in the 1990s, workers insisted they heard constant, anguished cries coming from the town's cemetery and had their tools ripped from their belts.

In the late 19th century, Arkansas's Crescent Hotel was intended to be a hotspot for the upper class.

It was rebranded as a Hospital in 1937, where its owner provided illegitimate medical care to patients when he was ousted.

It fell into disarray for decades before being renovated at the turn of the 21st century.

It's been said that the spirits of those who passed there still remain.

Room 218 is home to Michael, a phantom who perished during the building's construction.

They make loud noises or they do things like shut doors.

Others have seen the ghost of the former owner and have warned against crossing him.

The Curtis House Inn, a building dating back to the 18th century, is bound to have a spirit or two roaming its halls.

The rooms will all be done, and the comforters will be nice and neat and tidy, and

you can go back in five minutes later, and it looks like somebody rolled across it.

Brave visitors to the Curtis house innovation, first opened in 1754, have reported seeing several ghosts, from former guests to those who used to run the inn.

One of the most recognizable is that of a former owner, Lucius, who met a mysterious fate.

Some have claimed that specters have disturbed their blankets while they slept.

The most chilling tale comes from those who've heard disembodied footsteps in the hallway just outside their door.

While the phantoms don't seem harmful, their mere presence has made it one of the creepiest locations in the state.
