Let me walk you through my normal workout.

Also in the winter when it's really cold it's nice to just physically warm up playing ping pong.

We often have friends that come and use the gym as well.

It's just nice to have company and people to train with.

Then I start actually doing a climbing warm up.

I generally start on what I call Jun's wall.

That's technically for my daughter, my 2-year-old,

but actually it's where I generally warm up to.

Eventually, start training on the boards.

The boards are adjustable, so right now it's 30 degrees.

Sometimes you train on these really steep, sometimes you train on them more vertical.

The thing is when it gets steep enough then you can basically just reach the top and it kind of makes a mockery of the whole climbing thing to begin with.

Basically I spent an hour, hour and a half climbing on the board various ways depending on what my project is, depending on what exactly I'm training for.

Earlier this winter, I was trying something that was very steep outside,

so I was actually climbing it near this angle.

There's also a couple climbing specific training tools over here.

Like going from 1 to 5 to 9 is considered a like benchmark training goal.

It'd be like running a four-minute mile or something.

I've never even been remotely close to doing that.

You just dangle from your fingers with weight.

Then I generally end my climbing sessions with some kind of weights.

Maybe cross training, maybe weighted pull ups, maybe a little bit of lifting in various ways.

Not a big weightlifter but you know, do a few things just to round things up.
