Just before I start this video, I want to announce that I am now a Twitch partner.

I was going through my old hard drive a few weeks ago and I found all my old prom photos.

I'm not sure what was going on with my hair, but

I guess back then I thought it was pretty cool.

Since the prom season is coming up, I thought it would be good to show you guys 5 dresses that I bought on AliExpress that are all under $100.

back in my day when it was prom time, girls were spending like a thousand dollars or more on their prom.

For me, I spent about $30 on my dress because my mum made it for me.

My makeup and hair was done by my mum's friends so I didn't have to pay.

Luckily for me, I didn't have to spend too much on.

These days, it's so much easier to buy stuff online.

Sometimes you can find some really good bargains.

But the downside is you don't get to see it in person.

So you don't know if what you're seeing on the screen is what you're gonna get when you actually receive the product.

I guess now I'm talking specifically about websites from China.

Sometimes you get the product and it looks exactly like the picture.

Sometimes you get the product and it looks nothing like the picture.

But for me, since it's so cheap anyway, I don't really mind taking the gamble.

Because it's prom season, I decided to go on AliExpress, which is kind of like the Chinese ebay.

And I searched for five prom dresses which were all under $100.

So this is going to be kind of a first impression.

I paid for all these dresses with my own money.

When I was searching for these prom dresses, I was being really picky.

But these dresses I can wear to Weddings and stuff.

Because I'm at the age where all my friends are getting married now.

Since I got a lot of weddings coming up, I thought it would be a good chance for me to, you know, just stock up on some dresses.

But anyway, let's try on the dresses now and get our first impressions.

They took about five to six days to ship my item, which is I guess fine.

But they decided to change the shipping company to TNT instead.

I was a little bit disappointed because I like using dhl which is why I paid extra for them.

And then when I got the package from tnt, they apparently couldn't find my address and I had to drive all the way to the depot to get my item, which was not close to my place at all.

So I guess that's the only complaint I have so far from that seller.

Let's open up the package and have a look at the dresses.

When you take it out, it kind of smells a little bit funky, like, I don't know how to explain it, like chalk.

This looks kind of funny but you know, you got these two pads to cover up your little, little twins there.

If you look closely on a detailing, you've got some pearls, you've got sequins, you got diamond things.

So yeah, it looks actually really beautiful.

Alright, I got the dress on, I'm trying to film and I think this dress is very comfortable because my dog seems like she's made herself at home on my dress.

I can't believe this was under $100 because if I bought this dress in Australia it'll cost me about $1,000.

Putting the dress on for the first time, it feels really comfortable.

And let me show you guys a close up of the detailing.

From the looks of it, the material looks really good quality.

I love the detailing of the pearls and sequins.

For the skirt, it looks like there's leaves coming down with some sequins and pearls on them.

For the sleeves, I was expecting it to be longer and tighter because that's what it looks like in.

It looks like she's got long sleeves and looks a lot tighter.

This one here, it looks like it's maybe like a three quarter sleeve now going back so you can kind of see more of the full body now.

And I actually usually wear a size 4 to 6 Australian, which is around a size 0 to 2 US I believe it kind of depends on the clothing, where sometimes a size 4 fits better, sometimes a size 6 fits better.

Usually I have to try them on to see what fits best.

Even though I haven't tried this dress on prior to buying it, I'm very surprised with the fit because it's not so bad.

If I'm able to just pull this back a little bit like this.

It just makes it look so much more better and fitted.

Also, if the sleeves were more tighter, it'll look a lot better as well, so I guess I can get that altered.

The dress from the inside has this kind of satiny material, so it's very comfortable.

What do you call this organza material on the outside, which looks gorgeous and stunning just because it takes away the shine from the satiny material.

So they were very, very generous when it came to this material because there's a lot of it.

this dress reaches the floor for me, so I would have to cut it, definitely, because I would trip over this dress.

I will show you that I'm very clumsy, and

I know I'll fall over, but let me show you guys how the length really is.

Don't mind my Harry Potter socks, but I'm standing on the piano stool.

I am five' two, so that's why if I was to wear heels, if I stand up a little bit, it still covers the floor.

So if you're taller, I think this would still be fine because there's still so much more material.

Now, the back of the dress is one of those crisscross ones.
