Taking part in the team event, Zhu struggled with the pressure as she fell multiple times in the short program and free skates, including crashing into the boards.

As such, she came last in the rankings, which saw China's third place position fall to fifth.

On the Chinese social media site Weibo, users heavily criticized Zhu, including taking shots at her performance and for her not speaking Mandarin fluently.
