Welcome to O. I traveled all the way to Oman just to see this rainforest.

I saw busy streets, old buildings, and big, big deserts.

But then we finally arrived to the rainforest.

Yes, 90% of the Arabian Peninsula is desert.

See, big storms come through here every year called monsoons.

They hit a lot of places around the world along the equator, like India and Southeast Asia.

And this southern tip of Oman is, guess what?

But when monsoons hit here in Oman, something special happens.

And all that rain creates the perfect conditions for waterfalls, trees, grass.

All of this only happens for three months every year.

Yes, for three months in the summer, it's like the Amazon.

And for the rest of the year, it's like a desert.

Because the monsoon ends, the weather is dry again and the rainforest disappears.

I cannot believe that we're in the same country as the forest place that we were seeing.

I never expected to see the Amazon in the Middle East.

See, a lot of the world looks green because we have big storms like monsoons.

But if climate change gets worse and weather patterns start breaking, then Oman's rainforest might disappear forever.

This magical place showed me what can happen when we get the right weather.

So we should take good care of this climate so that we can all enjoy heaven on earth.
