Had he lived longer, it's undoubtable that he would have committed more atrocities.

Timur sociopathy and the traits associated with it have likely existed far before it was added to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of mental Disorders in 1952.

One of the most prominent examples is Timur, a 12th century leader who seemingly saw the world as nothing more than a game board for potential conquest.

His uncle and brother in law were high ranking officials and when they trusted Timur on a diplomatic mission, he defected to a rival khan.

During his horrifying reign, he oversaw and took part in several large scale attacks on neighboring countries including Delhi, Clifford, Caucasus and Anatolia.

Through it all, he expressed no remorse for innocent civilians and instead subjected countless people to enslavement and massacres.

Some estimates place his death toll at 17 million, about 5% of the global population at the time.

It was clear he had a lack of empathy for anyone who crossed his and his army's path.

And saw their subjugation as necessary to gain complete control.

From the time he carried out his deranged experiments to the moment he took his final breath, he never showed a single ounce of remorse.

That was only the beginning of Josef Mengele's antisocial traits.

Throughout the last years of World War II, he worked in Auschwitz as a twisted scientist.

There he conducted numerous experiments on prisoners, from those with heterochromia to twins.

Maudsley then walked to the prison officer's area and said, well, it's going to be 2 less for dinner this evening.

His unquenchable aggression and cold attitude toward his crimes are just two of the reasons why he's been in solitary confinement since 1983.
