The superlative

Nine days ago, our next guest, Spider-Man, he's way up all 101 stories of the tallest building in Taiwan without even so much as a rope.

If you missed it, I won't tell you how it ends,

I feel like there are two kinds of people that watch these shows.

There are the kind of people like me who suffer thinking like, oh my God, I hope nothing happens to him.

And then there's a small percentage of people going, I hope he falls.

I think that's a pretty small percentage.

No, I honestly don't know what the plan is.

Thankfully I'm kept out of the loop on all that.

how do you decide to climb the 11th tallest building in the world?

Is that - so you have 10 more to build up to?

Well, it was the tallest building in the world when it opened in 2004.

it's just there aren't that many buildings in the world that are suitable for this kind of thing.

We scouted a handful of them and Taipei101 as it turns out is perfect for, for rock climbing, in case anybody's interested in trying.

It seemed like maybe it was easy for you.

It wasn't easy, but it was kind of in the sweet spot where it's not cutting edge.

But it's hard enough that it's interesting.

But it's easy enough that I can do it on live TV on the day that somebody tells me that I have to do it.

If you're doing something on television, you kind of need to make sure that it's within a certain band of comfort zone.

And so for me it was like right in the middle where I was like, this is hard enough that it is very engaging not to try,

When you're climbing a building like that,

do they put up, like, some signs in the building saying, like, "Hey, window washers don't open the windows today."

Did you see anything weird going through those offices?

There were some very enthusiastic folks in some of the offices, though.

I mean, there are a lot of people waving, taking videos, doing all things.

One of the days that I was practicing with a rope on, I looked through a corner, and

he looked at me very disapprovingly and shook his head.

And then I flipped the rope around the corner so you could see my rope and harness better.

And then I just kept climbing, and he was like, oh, that's fine.

Did anybody try to talk you out of doing this?

Yeah, man, I know Mark is excited being up there.

You just have to play around a little bit.

I mean, that was near the top of the building, and

so I already done most of the really hard stuff.

It's like you got to play around a little bit, you know?

I just can't think of anything that would be less fun than that.

If you named almost anything, say, would you rather the answer would be the other thing?

I mean, the thing is, getting to climb one of the biggest buildings in the world kind of feels like a childhood dream to begin with.

Like, already you feel like a little kid out playing in this incredible landscape.

And so to get to play on the building like that, it's pretty fun.

was anyone watching you on Netflix while you looked through the window at them?

I didn't see anybody streaming the program.

That would have been too much, because then I'd be like, wait, am I seeing myself?
