what are all of the different meanings of the word cool and how can I use them?

And I want to explain a little bit about the different ways that we use this word cool, because it's really common.

So the one that you probably know is fashionable, not fashion.

About your personality, the way that you behave, your style.

It could be about the way that you dress your clothes.

When did it first mean, like, fashionable, do you think?

Oddly enough, it was the year Hitler came to power, 1933.

The basic meaning of the word cool is about temperature.

Maybe it's about a drink that has ice in it and it's very cool and refreshing.

And it's very common to use cool to mean interesting, really interesting, great or good, depending on how you use it.

So if something is really interesting, you might say, oh, wow, cool.

Or if something is really great, you can say that as well.

It just means it's really good or really interesting.

But we can also use it for something that's just good.

If you hear about something, maybe someone got a promotion, you can say, oh, that's cool, that's cool.

So it can be used at different levels depending on how you say it.

One of the ways that I usually use the word cool is as a reply, and

it doesn't really have a clear meaning there.

It's usually used in a conversation when someone says something.

You can say cool, and that maybe takes you to the next thing in the conversation.

Somebody tells me, I bought some roller skates today.

And I expect maybe they're going to keep talking about that.

Cool can also be used when you're calm under pressure.

For someone who's really calm in a crazy situation, all of the animals are escaping from the zoo, lions and tigers running around chasing people, and

everyone is ahh, trying to either run away from them or catch them.

And this is more common recently, especially when we want to check to see if the relationship we have with other people is still okay.

Maybe you did something which made another person a little bit angry and you apologize to them later and then you want to make sure that everything's okay.

So that means our relationship is still good.

So those are the most common ways to use the word cool.

Just to review, cool could be temperature, a little bit cold, right?

Cool could also be about being fashionable, your clothes, style or your behavior.

Cool could be about something that's great or good or interesting.

We can say, oh, cool, that's really cool.
