I'm in Minneapolis this week covering some large demonstrations in response to the ICE operations.

Today after another fatal shooting of a man by federal law enforcement, I saw demonstrators reiterate that they want this operation out of the city.

I was about a block from where we could see the police tape of the shooting site.

During the time I was there, every so often, officers would sort of move people back.

I had saw an officer fire what looked like pepper balls at the feet of a demonstrator who were standing in the skirt of the driveway.

All of a sudden, things shifted and multiple flashbangs were fired.

I could see the debris coming off of those sort of the smoke down there.

And a long line of unmarked vehicles, which I could see, and

some of them had masked agents in them, started moving quickly up the street.

And it was getting cloudier down at that intersection.

I was able to pretty quickly get my mask on, hooked from my bag and over my face.

I did not have it in the perfect prep position that we're trained to do, but

I was able to get it up there pretty quickly.

It was that sort of spicy back of your throat, difficult to catch a breath feeling.

People around me started coughing and retching a little bit as they were in it.

They were running past me to try and get out of the area.

he called on stage state and local leaders to turn down the temperature.

Pretty much every jurisdiction where these guys are operating, you don't see the same level of chaos.

You don't see the same level of violence.

You don't see the problems that we're seeing in Minneapolis.

Maybe the problem is unique to Minneapolis, and we believe that it is.

And it's a lack of cooperation between state and local law enforcement and federal law enforcement.

I'm done being told that our local elected officials are solely responsible for turning down the temperature.

Just Yesterday, we saw 15,000 people peacefully protesting in the streets, speaking out, standing up for their neighbors.

Not a single broken window, not a single injury.

President Trump has so no sign to back down on this operation, nor have DHS leaders that I have seen.

How many times must local and national leaders must plead with you, Donald Trump, to end this operation and recognize that this is not creating safety in our city?
