Past simple

The girls just did a school project, a video on where they're from.

And so we're about to show you where we're from.

When someone asks me where I'm from, it's hard to answer.

But looking back, the place that I have the most memories of was a public park in Japan.

So on the way home I would discuss what we would play with our friends.

And once we got home, I would throw my Lambda Siddhu in the Genkan and ride to the park.

And we would play till we needed to go home.

And then here is where we have the most memories.

I used to climb the pirate and sit on top of the hat and just look down on everything.

When I was in elementary, I was still very small.

So just being on top of that hat made me feel like I was on top of the world.

But climbing up it again made me realize how close I was to the ground.

We would also see who can swing the highest in 10 seconds or who can jump the furthest.

But one time my friend broke her bone because she landed weird.

I can do a lot of tricks on the Tizzy Ball.

But that was only because when I was little I would practice all the time to learn new tricks.

Sometimes it will take weeks or even months to learn a new trick.

But I think all those hours were worth it in the end.

We used to get sand, like dirt, whatever this is, and

then poured down the slide and made it three times faster.

We used to draw a circle around the slide and play tag.

It was a fast moving game and I loved it.

Even snowed a couple of times and that was really fun.

But my mom would always say this tree was my favorite tree to climb in the park.

I used to have a nest with four baby birds in it.

And I remember stepping on my tippy toes to see the babies in the nest.

We used to also climb up this pole and touch the clock.

But for safety reasons, I'm not doing that anymore.

This is where I spent most of my time in the park.

Ever since fourth grade, we would play soccer here almost every day after school.

Competitive sometimes, but it was really fun.

Playing soccer here again, like I used to play with my friends made me realize how much I miss my friends.

And I wish I had realized how important my friends were.

Looking back, I had a lot of memories at this park.

At the 5 o' clock bell, I had to go home.

But until the next day, I will imagine on what kind of adventures I could go on tomorrow.

The river that stretches on for thousands of miles.

Those boat trips we would go on, excited for the new adventure that lies ahead and making new memories along the way.

My mom and dad were missionaries in Brazil, so I was born and raised there until I was four.

Even though I was young, I still have a lot of memories there.

This is my twin, Anna, and we used to look identical.

We used to do every single thing together.

But I was the one who usually sought more attention.

One thing that we loved was playing with the faucet in our backyard.

And for some reason, I thought it was a good idea to drink the water.
