Well, I think it's time that we get into how smart these AI bots really are and how they work.

Artificial intelligence, or AI, is more than just robots and sci fi movies.

It's about machines that can perform tasks typically requiring human intelligence, like learning, reasoning and understanding language.

They're trained on vast amounts of data, learning from various sources to mimic human writing styles.

To many, it seems like a miracle personal assistant.

To others, it feels like a gigantic machine hell bent on making sure artists and other people never work again.

LLMs, or large language Models are AI systems that can write essays, compose emails, generate creative content, and

It's like autocomplete, but way, way, way, way stronger.

ChatGPT sometimes generates fictitious citations due to its reliance on patterns learned from its training data, leading to biased or incorrect information.

For instance, last year In New York, two lawyers were sanctioned for using ChatGPT to prepare a legal brief with made up case citations.

They were fined $5,000 for these false citations and for making misleading statements to the court.

This raises questions about the accuracy and ethical use of AI in legal work.

Ben Goertzel, a prominent computer scientist and AI researcher, has voiced several concerns about AI's future.

He warns that AI could pose unprecedented cybersecurity threats, and

if just a few groups were able to control it, this could lead to an imbalance of power and widen economic disparities.

The due to its impact on employment, advanced AI or artificial general intelligence may evolve into a superhuman intelligence that we may not understand and could become unpredictable and uncontrollable.

But of course, AI is only as good as the data it's trained on, which makes it our responsibility to feed it the most accurate information and ethical data possible.

Because as we've seen, AI like ChatGPT is powerful and but not all knowing, it really does seem like it's here to stay.
