Travel is adventurous, travel is humbling.

Travel is stepping into the unknown and being okay with it.

And I'm Michelle Bond and we are the co founders of Bottoms Up Bagels.

We're taking our small business on the road.

Here at the Bubb Road show where we popping up Cedar Rapids.

Bottoms up is a small batch bagel shop born out of the desire for better bagels and the bagel culture that I grew up with in northern New J.

We'd been in Baltimore about 10 years when we started Bottoms up and really missed that quick filling breakfast food that was like made to order.

So it felt like a treat, but it wasn't pretentious, it wasn't overly priced.

And so we know that there is a desire to have a simple, affordable, quality made breakfast in other places.

And so bringing bub on the road allows us to really explore those possibilities and meet customers where they're at, see what they like.

We're super excited to be the winner of the Lenovo Evolve small mentorship contest.

One of our goals that we have throughout doing the roadshow is seeing where we can actually have a more permanent space.

We refer to them as bubhubs, so we feel like they're getting the word out through Lenovo and having the technology piece figured out for us so we'll be able to continue figuring out our operations and making them more replicable.

I think having bub as a vehicle for travel is amazing.

It's given us a chance to take that perspective shift that comes with travel anyway and make us feel like we're adopting a town for even a small period of time.

You know, we have to not only have the mind of a traveler, which is one with openness and humility and adventure and excitement, but

also a little bit more of feeling like we're part of that town.

My name is Julie Parisi and I'm the executive director at Nubo City Market.

What has been really great about working with Bottoms Up Bagels is they already bring this sense of community with them.

They're not really concerned about themselves as much as how are they fitting in and adding value to the total experience at the market, which I think is just phenomenal.

So people may not know, but we did a roadshow event back in 20.

From our perspective, it was very successful in Cohoes.

Having Bottoms Up Bagels in Cohoes was one of the more fun and rewarding Things that I've done in the three and a half years in my current position as city planner for cohost.

Not only being able to work with Joan and Michelle, which was a treat on its own, but

also we had more turnout I think for your pop up event than I've seen for events that are a music hall.

I think you brought a lot of life to the street which was needed and excitement.

Just really enjoyed our time with you and time you had and gave to the community.

I'm in Cedar Rapids and will be a Marion, Iowa.

So we're going to have a bit of a residency here.

Marion Public Library is super excited to host Bottoms Up Bagels.

The pop up shop idea is awesome for Mariana.

I would just say to anyone visiting Iowa to go to the small places, the out of the way places because that's really where the heart of the community is.

We want to get to know our customers and we want to create shared experiences with food.

The lox is just so flavorful and tender and that the onion with contrast with that.

Our tagline is here's every day because it's really important for us to be part of everybody's every day.
