First, it has to nail the scene and give us the parts of the story that words alone could never pull off.

Second, it needs to make you feel something when you least expect it.

You blast it in the car and then you find yourself either scream singing or ugly crying to it.

Every one of these passed with flying colours.

When writing this song, I found myself living vicariously through my character Rumi.

Her life and journey in the movie felt deeply familiar to me.

The song needed to be an expression of hope to convince herself that she could rise and reach for her dreams.

But most importantly for it to be giving hope to so many people around the world is truly the greatest honor.
