These are the three strikes every woman should know.

If you get attacked, your first instinct might be to punch someone in the face, but

you're more likely to break your hand than their skull.

Instead, we recommend the super slap to stun the attacker so you can get to safety.

With a regular slap, you're targeting their face with your hand, but

with a super slap, you're targeting their inner ear with the leverage of your entire body.

If you end up on the ground, up kicks are going to be your strongest weapon.

Do whatever it takes to get your legs between you and the attacker.

Generate maximum power and reach by wedging your feet on their hips and driving off the ground with your shoulders.

If the attacker is positioned lower, you can post on your hands and elevate your hips for the most devastating impact.

The elbow strike can also be very effective.

After you escape from underneath the attacker, you can target their face or their abdomen.

And of course, the groin strike is always there for the taking.

Bottom line, strikes shouldn't be relied on as the sole means of survival, but

after you perform a leverage-based escape technique,

they are a great way to put the attacker on the defensive so you have time and space to get to safety.
