Welcome to episode four of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians official podcast.

That's the biggest episode we've ever put out for this show.

But I wanted to talk about, I think, something that can be overlooked when it comes to making huge episodes like this feel so magical.

They make sure we're always safe when we're flying.

They choreograph all of our fights and our stunt sequences.

I think my favorite stories that I have with stunts is one night I was out in Vancouver with Walker and Charlie, and

I had a bit of an unfortunate incident with a cyclist, and

my face got very friendly with the sharp end of a brick.

I was, like, freaking out because my face was, like, swollen shut on one side, basically.

And I had this huge gash, which I still have.

I remember Eli pulled me aside, and I was like, dude, I don't, like, know what to do.

I'm so sorry that this happened, because this would never happen if it had.

You know, this happened on my own time, which I think is ridiculous.

And just like that, they wrote it in, in a little, like, kind of confrontation in the show.

And Vesh, my stunt double, came in and he sold that, hit hard.

And I was just free to work for the rest of the day without thinking about it.

And I think that's a perfect way to kind of describe what Stunts does for us.

They put their bodies on the line so we don't have to.

They make us look cool, and they also keep us safe.

And we have the most Incredible stunts team in the world, and everybody should know that.

They were firing on all cylinders this episode, and they have been for all season.

But without further ado, I'd like to introduce our first guests, the one and only Tamara Valerie Smart and Charlie Ray Bushnell.

Dude, no, thank you for having us on the pod.

Good way to start episode four by talking about the flashbacks, which are a new addition to this season in the book.

I think they flesh out all of our characters.

But I wanted to hear your guys thoughts on that.

First of all, it was so much fun to, like, work with you.

The first time we worked together, I know we had like, nothing.

In season one where were, like, it was like the.

You guys were on, like, the train, but like, we didn't interact at all.

Like you were there, but like, it was the Iris message.

But anyway, like, that was like our only day on, like, set together.

So to actually, like, work with you was so much fun.

But no, I think it's like, we've obviously heard about, like, Luke, Thalia and Annabeth and their time together on the road, but

to actually, like, see it come to life, I think is really important, and

Flesh out all that stuff because I feel like we didn't get to see too much of Luke and Annabeth's relationship in season one.

And so to really see what they went through and their time, just kind of the reality of being a demigod, you know, on the road, like having to fend for yourself, like, it's a.

I'm glad we got to give that to the fans.
