These security guarantees for us are an opportunity to prevent yet another Russian aggression and this is a compromise on our part.

Zelensky further stressed that any guarantees must be legally binding, pointing to Ukraine's Bitter experience in 1994 when it gave up its nuclear weapons in return for assurances that later failed to prevent Russia's invasion.

So while the proposal aligns with one of Moscow's stated demands, Kyiv has firmly rejected calls to surrender territory, saying any peace must be dignified and prevent future aggression.

I believe that for today the fair possible option should be we stand where we stand.

And this is true because this is what a ceasefire is, the party's stand, and

then diplomatically try to resolve all common issues.

I know that Russia does not have a positive attitude towards this, but

I would like the Americans to support us in this matter.

The ongoing talks in Berlin actually lasted more than five hours on Sunday and focused on a reported 20 point peace plan that could eventually lead to a ceasefire.

Steve Wykoff, the US envoy, said a lot of progress had been made and negotiations were set to continue on Monday.

Germany's Defense Minister welcomed Washington's engagement, but cautioned that security guarantees without strong U.S.

Meanwhile, pressure from Washington has also been growing.

President Trump continues to urge both sides to end the war and warned that the conflict could spiral into a third world war.

With that being said, I'd like to see the killings stop.
