Moving on to exciting updates from the sea game 33.

What a day it has been for the Vietnamese athletes.

The SEA Game 33 has entered its third official day of competition.

All teams across all sports have maintained their second position on the medal table.

The first gold of the day came from shooting in the 10 meter air rifle mixed teams event as Vietnam narrowly defeated Thailand in the final.

Other gold medals were won in canoeing, taekwondo, karate, gymnastics, petunk athletics and swimmings.

As of 7pm local time, Vietnam has won nine more gold medals in the total medal standings, Thailand still firmly holds first place with 58 gold, 34 silver and 25 bronze medals.

Vietnam follows behind with 21 gold, 14 silver and 38 bronze, so the chance to catch up with Thailand is very slim at SEA Games 33.

Vietnam aims to finish in the top three in terms of gold medals and the target is well within reach in third position.

Indonesia has 17 gold, 24 silver and 20 bronze.

Singapore and the Philippines complete the top five.

It was an excellent day for Vietnamese athletes in Thailand with great results coming from Taekwondo, karate and volleyball.

Let's take a look at some of the key action on December 20th.

Earlier today, the Taekwondo team claimed Vietnam's third gold medal.

Entering the final against a Filipino opponent, Park Hee Kiem showed no hesitation and delivered a commanding performance with besides high kicks from her left leg.

She closed out the match with a total score of 23 8.

This marked her third gold medal at the regional competition.

Against the thigh opponent in the final, Ho Thai Nam demonstrated that his inexperience was no match for his desire to win gold.

From the start, the Vietnamese athlete extended the lead by five points, then controlled the match amid the home support.

The final score was 6 1, giving Hainam his first taste of sea Games gold.

With the two wins from their first two matches, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team looked to carry the that momentum into their third match against Indonesia.

In the opening set, Indonesia posed some early challenges, but Vietnam prevailed 25:20.

The following two sets proved more comfortable for the women in red who ultimately secured a straight set three deal victory to book their place in the semifinals.
