Now, in today's focus, we bring you a story that troubles many countries and regions around the world.

It reflects major shifts in labor markets and poses challenges for millions of young people navigating an uncertain future.

So what does the global picture look like today?

According to World buying publications, around 15% of youth in China and Indonesia are unemployed.

In South Korea, the rise of artificial intelligence is widening the generation gap in the Labor Market.

From July 2022 to July 2025, over 211,000 jobs for people aged 15 to 29 disappeared, most in sectors easily replaced by AI.

In Europe, Germany's unemployment topped 3 million last August, the highest in a decade, raising concerns about youth job security.

Meanwhile, in Vietnam, data from the General Statistics office shows more than 1.6 million young people are neither working nor studying.

11.5% of the youth's population revealing major gaps in skills and career direction.

Now, amid a rising uncertainty and countless options after university, many young people are choosing an option, an unconventional option which is stepping out into the real world to see, hear and directly try a wide range of jobs.

Today, we follow the journeys of those who are exploring careers using first hand experience.

The students from the Career Wheels Project have a unique way to prepare for diving into the job market.

They let the job choose them, using a spinning wheel to randomly assign occupations from manual labor to highly specialized work, they dive into each role to better understand what it takes.

As final year students still uncertain about our career paths, we wanted a project that would let us explore different professions, understand how the job market is evolving, and

We also hope the project becomes a friendly manual that helps others find the direction that suits them.

We hope the project will serve as a bridge between young people and businesses, helping them discover their path and their passion.

Believing that respecting every job means respecting people and the value of life itself, young members of the Shape of Jobs Project have decided to leave their comfort zones to meet workers across various fields.

Their goal is to observe, listen and share the most honest perspectives with others.

Our goal is to give people the most realistic look at different professions so they can better understand their options and choose a path that fits their strengths.

After spending time with workers and hearing their stories, these young people from both projects have grown even more determined to share some deeper messages.

People should spread positive values while preserving and promoting our cultural traditions through their work so we can share them with the world.

What we gained most from this project is a new mindset.

Every profession requires humility, constant learning and curiosity.

This Project shows that young people want real experience to try to stumble, to learn and to discover where they fit in a fast changing job market.

And while guidance from older generations still helps their path become clear when they've moved forward with curiosity, initiative and an open mind.

Many young people today feel unsure about how to stand out in such a competitive job market.

From your perspective, what's the most important thing a candidate needs to focus on in order to become truly outstanding?

I think in order to be an outstanding candidate in this job market right now, you have to know the value, what value you bring to the table and know how to present that to the employer.

It all comes down to two things in my opinion.

The first thing is the ability of teaching yourself a new thing.

In this job market right now, the employer don't have enough time and resources to teach you how to do the work anymore.

Most of the time you have to learn by yourself.

So the skills and the ability of teaching yourself new skills and new knowledge is really important.

And the second thing is you have to know how to create value to others.

Your employer, your college, your customer.

Not just for fresh graduates, but even for people in their 30s and 40s.

So what practical advice would you give to those struggling to secure a good job?

Looking for a new job, A good job with a great salary is really tough at the moment.

Not only for freshers, but also for people in their 30s and 40s as well.

And first of all, you need to accept that that's a fact.

And secondly is you should think outside of the box.

Don't follow the traditional path of finding a new job, searching a job board every day.

For example, if you cannot find a job in Vietnam, looking for a job in the global market, you should go and ask your university lecturer, your senior people at university, or your alumni, or your friends, friends of your family for example.

There's a lot of people who willing to help you, to give you some advice and give you some contact.

Also don't just stick with what you have right now.

Just be open and be flexible with new opportunity coming.

If you study major A, you should not only looking for a job in that major, maybe think about other profession that close with your major and take whatever opportunity that present in front of you right now.
