Now the 2025 Miss Universe contest has come to a close.

This year's event was held in Bangkok, Thailand.

It's the fourth time that the Thai capital has played host to the event.

Now in its 74th year, 130 women took part, including for the first time a Miss Palestine.

She's a 27 year old health and nutrition coach.

She was crowned Miss Palestine in 2022 and now divides her time between Dubai and Ramallah.

Meanwhile, this year's winner of the show was announced as Miss Mexico, Fatima Bosch.

This was her earlier in the contest during the costume display as well as the sequins and glamour.

This year's competition has however been surrounded by controversy.

Contestants including this year's winner, walked out over what they claimed was mistreatment and Jud resigned over claims of rigging.

Well, let's speak to our reporter Peniso Mocha who is in Bangkok for us.

So just tell us what sort of reaction there has been to the result.

Yeah, so basically congratulate to Fatima Boss, Miss Mexico, who recently under an hour ago just crowned the new Miss Universe.

And the fourth time, this is the first time that Miss Universe come from Mexico and a lot of people has been pouring in come in.

A lot of the fans are also sad that their delegate didn't really win.

One of the things that I've seen is actually for the top five in the final round, Q&A sessions.

Cordiwo is actually a fan favorite for her answers on the question of if, if you are to win the missionary race, how will you empower young girls?

There has been however controversy in this year's contest.

So just days before this final day we have judges resigned.

One of the judges cite the reason that he decided to pull out of the jury because of the rig system.

The Miss Universe organization still denied later that there was no wrongdoing.

There were times during the event, pre preliminary event when there was talking between Nawat and also with her.

So she was called out and while she was trying to def herself she would cut off Miss sentence.

And Miss Universe organizations condemned the act of know what.

Unfortunately she continued to compete and now she recently just won.

So there's a lot of controversies among the competition itself.

And might I add that the Miss Universe organization itself also face a lot of uncertainty with 50% share owned by a Thai company.

But this company JKN is still undergoing rehabilitation plan for its business.
