In the heart of one of the planet's driest regions, an extraordinary initiative is unfolding in Dubai.

A story of dedication and care for nature.

A rainforest in the Middle east is something surprising.

We're trying to mimic this diverse ecosystem that you find in places like the Amazon.

What makes it so special is that we have successfully been able to do that.

The Green Planet is a sanctuary with commitment to conservation at its heart, protecting some of the globe's most vulnerable and endangered species.

One of the endangered animals we have here is the slow loris.

We have them as a rescued Animal back in 2018.

We found them in a small box thrown away.

We breeded them and we had a successful breeding.

But we also had a fourth, slow laris, and we then sent him away to another facility.

This species is a critically endangered species, so we've contributed to repopulation within a captive environment.

This lush microcosm gives people a chance to get up close and personal with threatened species like black and white ruffed lemurs and ringtail lemurs.

having them here give us the chance of knowing how we are connected to the nature.

Being a biologist here at the Green Planet is really special because you get to experience how these ecosystems provide services not only to us, but

to the animals that coexist within this ecosystem.

We help them in the Green Planet by telling their story, how they ended up here at the Green Planet.

Every single day, our animals, they surprise us.

You're never facing the same behavior from an animal.

You're never facing the same temperament from an animal.

What is important is knowing their behavior.

If they start acting a little bit strange, you can then pinpoint there's something wrong.

It's that kind of slight change that us biologists really look out for.

Because without that, we won't be able to know what is wrong with our animals, how we need to better the environment for our animals, the ecosystem itself, it's like a pyramid.

If something falls down, everything will eventually fall down with it.

Us as humans, we're systematically degrading our ecosystem, degrading our planet.

Spreading awareness helps the people to come back to nature to save it.

My main hope is people start to take actions and start to change their lifestyle.

If it gets to a point where we aren't trying anymore, then it's a point of no return.

And that's something that we really try and talk about here at the Green Planet.
