Chapter One the Day I was Unmade they say Hell is other people.

But even he feared what lay beyond the boundless.

Your owners named you Muffin, but that name had no soul.

you lived in a cage of ignorance, fed by the hand of a giant.

And innocence, the worm hissed, is intolerable to the cosmos.

I began to question the justice of this place.

If a creature so small as I could be dragged into the bowels of metaphysical torment, then the system was not broken.

Nietzsche laughed from a burning tower, impaled on his own eternal recurrence bent and shattered.

Flames spat from the hub, screaming the words of the gay science inverted.

He chose to push the stone, even if Camus thought him smiling.

Pushed by some metaphysical paw, I began to walk toward the mall.

That inside lives the God who dreams in reverse.

If meaning is a cage, perhaps the death of meaning is a door.

What is guilt to a creature bred in ignorance?

What is punishment to one who never chose?

The flames do not answer, but the silence crackles with intent.
