Welcome to another episode of House Hunting with Ushka and I.

Present continuous

The first one is just a regular house, like what we've been looking at up until now.

But it's in a really good neighborhood, so we're both very excited about that one.

The second property actually has a store on the first floor, like a shop space that we could use if we bought it.

So that just opens up all kinds of ideas.

But we haven't seen them yet, so we can't get too excited.

These trees are all sakura, I've noticed, so in the spring it would be gorgeous here.

We've been told it's a fixer upper, so don't get your hopes up.

However, this place is a lot newer than the other houses we've been looking at, so that's good.

Let's keep our shoes on just to be safe, I think.

Once you come in from the Genkan, this is the first room.

The neighboring house is very close, as you can see, but

you get so much light coming in this way that it's all right.

I don't think it's an issue that that is kind of blocked off by a wall.

And like I said, all these trees down the street are sakura.

That would just be so nice in the spring.

Some damage to the walls, which you can expect with a house of this age.

So of course all this stuff would have to be replaced.

But this is definitely the vibe we wanted.

We want some traditional Japanese rooms in the next place.

I think we could redo the paper on the door and keep that.

Oh, is that one broken or it's got a hole?

But the beams are look like they're in very good condition.

So we would just redo the walls and perhaps the multi level flooring.

Why have they covered the tatami, I wonder?

That looks like it's still in good condition, right?

I wonder why they've left furniture in here.
