Today I'm going to take you guys on a tour of this beautiful 1000 year old town which is easily accessible from Tokyo.

You can get up here in two hours on the bullet train and enjoy a traditional Japanese onsen experience.

We have a very handsome tour guide today.

Chris has been here before, so yeah, I actually was here last month.

Journey across Japan had probably the best food of the entire trip, which was some guests.

We had to rush off and go and do something else.

So it's nice to come back with you and actually see a bit more of the town.

And Chris has been going on about this gyoza ever since he ate it.

So tonight we are going to eat the gyoza.

Both me, Paul, Ian, we're all like, this is the best thing ever.

I know lots of you are looking for an onsen experience that you can do within Tokyo, but

honestly, I recommend kind of getting out of the city, coming out to the countryside somewhere a little less touristy and enjoying it this way.

There's a little train that comes to the town.

I've never made narikiri before and I love it.

It's my favorite wagashi, so I'm really excited to see how they make it today.

I was so excited to finally learn how they create the shapes of narikiri.

I had no idea and this totally blew my mind.

So we're using this plastic sheet to create a mountain shape for this one.

Well, it doesn't look as good as his, but

I think I need a few more years practice until I get to that level.

Nedikitty is basically an art form and you can get really creative with it.

Now we're adding some pink cherry blossoms on the side of the mountain.

So this is white bean paste mixed with local apples from Izaka.

And then they use little red beans for the apple seeds.

So this next one is a little more difficult.

We are going to attempt to make an apple slightly better than the last one.

Mine's not as good as his, so it's not as easy as it looks.

It's one of those apples you get on sale because it looks ugly.

And they were a lot easier to make than I thought they would be.

I always thought these were extremely complicated, but

we made something that looks kind of similar to the ones that they sell at the store.

But to make it like that, to make it look as good as the teachers, will probably take years.

I think the most interesting part of this is eating it.
