It's a bit cloudy today The weather's kind of been on and off recently Because it is rainy season lots of people will tell you not to come to japan in rainy season But honestly, it's one of my favorite seasons because the hydrangea are so beautiful.

I love it I would recommend coming here if you don't mind a little bit of rain.

It's gorgeous I have a very super super busy day today So let's do a very quick morning routine together for the first time in over 10 years I have really changed up my skincare routine and i'm so in love with these new products i'm using I shared these over on instagram a couple months ago, but let me share them with you guys on youtube as well This is a brand new cleanser from klairs that can also be used as a face mask You can use it how you would a regular cleanser It turns into this really creamy lather Or you can apply it directly to your face and let it sit there for a few minutes as a mask It smells amazing.

There's no artificial scents in it It's all natural, but it smells like fresh oranges.

It's really nice in the morning The next three products in my routine are all from the same line by hev blue These products went super viral in korea this year And now that i've tried them out for a couple months I can see why they're packed with soothing centella and salmon extracts Which calm redness in your skin boost hydration and help your skin repair itself They're super lightweight and they give you a really glowy and healthy Look, my skin has never felt better since using these and I really think you guys would love them For a little bit of extra moisture around my eyes.

It smells so good Itadakimasu Mmm Mmm takoyaki is one of those foods you have to eat when you're in japan This costs 900 yen, but that's probably because I got it delivery If you bought this at the shop, it'd probably be more like 700 pretty affordable and this is a huge portion.

It's quite filling This is the dream breakfast should do this more often.

I have the busiest day ever today I'm going to need this massive hit of caffeine to get through it I love how they don't put sweetener in it.

You can choose If they make it sweet or not, this is my favorite place to get matcha.

I got boba But you can also get warabi mochi, which is probably my favorite.

We have been so into junk journaling recently.

Let me show you my junk journal It's so much fun.

Obviously, we both have Massive stationery collections.

So this is such a fun way for us to use our cute little Stationery bits like tape and stickers and notepads and i'm not much of a writer So i've never really kept a written journal, but I love making scrapbooks and photo Collages and stuff like that.

So honestly the junk journal is like the perfect type of journal for me It's fun and creative doesn't involve too much writing I love saving up little bits and pieces of my day and then Creating a page at the end of the day in my junk journal.

It's so much fun Ushka and I are creating some junk journal sets for our shop and we need to get the packaging all sorted So we're gonna go to the print shop today and see if they can print the size of the packaging that we need Unfortunately, we can't do it on our at-home printers because it's too large And I can't do anything bigger than an A4 on my printer So we really hope the print shop can do it We've never really asked anyone for anything like this before so we'll have to just see how it goes And then we're gonna go back to her place and pack up the lucky bags that are going to be included in Some of the skincare orders and then we are going over to the house so that we can update you on the progress The building team has been there for two weeks now, I think about two weeks And they move so quickly there have been so many changes made to the house already I think you're gonna be really really surprised.

I can't wait to show it to you guys So let me finish my breakfast and then we will head over and meet up with Ushka So So we're deciding between either this mermaid paper which has a little bit of a texture We use this when we um print postcards a thicker version of the mermaid paper Or this one here Kind of reminds me of like a washi paper It's also got a bit of a texture to it.

I think that would probably look pretty nice Still not sure if they can print for us, but we're gonna ask them in a second I'm Okay, i'm at Ushka's we are getting ready to pack up the little lucky packs that are going to be inside some of the skincare Boxes, this is what they're going to look like So there's six items in each lucky bag from our shop some cute summery japanese stationery items So if you order the skincare box, you might get lucky and get one of these in your package Summer stationery in japan is so pretty Love it Got some onsen cats These are awesome if you are studying or need to like take note of part of a book Really handy.

They're so handy for decorating like envelopes or your journal your planner So let's get started pack these up So All packed and ready to be shipped off to korea We'll have to pop down to the post office later in sunday.

Look how cute they are So happy with how they turned out The renovations team is going to be on their afternoon break soon So we're going to bring them over some cookies and some drinks and show you guys what the house looks like I think you're going to be shocked They've only been here for just over a week or two now and the changes are ridiculous They are so quick.

I got a comment asking how long the project would take like one or two years No, it'll probably be done in two months max.

It looks so good So The neighbor at our new house has goldfish outsider house, they're so cute I've always wanted outdoor pet fish Like a pond or something The cats would make quick work of them How cute are these summer themed rice crackers?

They all have a different design on them before we go take a peek at the renovation progress I need to catch you guys up on some things So after we finished cleaning up the house last week we went to our local shrine and we asked a priest if they could come to the house and Bless it before renovations start this is a pretty common practice in japan to have somebody come bless the house and pray for the safety of your Renovations team and just the overall well-being of the house the priest came over to our house and we prepared an offering of Vegetables and fruits and we all took part in the ceremony It was really interesting to see I had never taken part in anything like that before.

I'm really glad we did it All right, you guys aren't even gonna recognize this place.

I mean you can tell already it looks so different The progress is insane.

So right now we are standing in what was the kitchen.

It's going to be turned into the Lounge living room area at the moment They have taken down half of the wall that divides the living room in the kitchen They've taken down the stairs because we're getting a brand new staircase And they've taken down the walls that were enclosing the fridge.

We're making it a nice square corner there Nothing too exciting happening on this floor at the moment.

Oh, and they also completely leveled out the floor So the floor was a little slanted.

This is the most exciting floor because every single wall has been removed I just realized so now it's one giant room and they are building the frames for the new walls It is so bright and spacious in here if you look up They removed the ceiling and they are currently finishing off the new ceiling.

It's so amazing Rika's measuring the new ceiling.

I wonder what it was originally Maybe two.

Yeah So it's probably two point two point six, maybe nice.

Yeah Over here is where the second floor toilet is gonna go And behind the toilet you're asking what we're gonna do with this spot This will be a shelving unit Make use of that space that was there.

So this is the brand new hallway It's all been mapped out now so we can see How wide of a space is being dedicated to the hallway and how large the middle bedroom is now?

So this will be the entrance to this room and then here Will be the door to this bedroom and then over here will be the door to the third bedroom So nobody has to walk through somebody else's room to get downstairs or to get to the second floor toilet We have ordered some amazing ceiling lights I'll show them to you when they arrive in the mail, but they're so gorgeous and those will be hanging down from here This room's starting to look amazing too.

So they have removed the partition that was here We wanted to keep that But we realized if that was a solid wall and we had the aircon unit behind it the airflow wouldn't be great So we're going to do a slotted partition here I think it'll probably end at the windowsill there and the bed will be tucked into there and we'll have some curtains Hanging down just to get that cozy bed nook feel.

So i'm really excited to see how that turns out It's different than what we planned, but I think it'll be really cute Love the shape of the ceiling here.

It's awesome and they put insulation everywhere to help temperature regulation as well as soundproofing Okay Yusuke and I have an appointment at IKEA to sort out our kitchen.

Lots of you noticed that the plan was a disaster We're aware That wasn't our final plan Yeah, so we're headed to IKEA now to actually talk to somebody and make a proper kitchen Like I mentioned in my last video we had a lot of trouble with the online IKEA kitchen planner It was so glitchy.

It crashed 500 times while we were trying to make a kitchen the Little image of the kitchen that I showed you guys in the last video That was basically just what we could put together before we gave up.

So today we are going into IKEA We have to travel to one that's a little far away out of Tokyo It's the giant IKEA in Tachikawa And we have an appointment with someone who's going to help us put together our perfect kitchen And we're gonna see all the items in person and choose the finishes we want for everything.

It should be really fun We're really excited We stopped in the mall to grab a coffee and we came across this Looks like a flea market.

Honestly, there's a whole bunch of Trinkets and toys And we found this really cool.

So it's got this part here and then a bell that attaches underneath How awesome is that?

We really want to put it at I think Neko Neko home because that's our japanese themed property Oh, it says Chusonji That's um in Iwate.

It's um ironware from Iwate prefecture Super cool, and it's only 2,640 yen.

Look at this stationery It's so old That's so cute I wish japan had more flea markets love stuff like this a little piano Oh my god, that's so cute Look at it.

Oh, I would have loved that What oh the fish blade How much is it?

I've been collecting these we found How many did we find in the house two of them?

We found two in the house and then I ordered two more online to get the full set Oh, that's awesome.

We will need another one if you guys are coming over to eat fish and chips, yeah That's awesome, that's so cool Look at those.

That's really pretty This ikea is huge  Wow, look at it.

Oh my god I've never been to one that's this big Our meeting with the kitchen planner lasted about an hour.

We also went over the bathroom furniture with her She was really helpful in helping us incorporate all the pieces that we wanted to use But making sure they are in the correct location in some cases like around the ventilation fan You need to leave a certain amount of space etc So booking with the kitchen planner in person was such a huge help and way easier than trying to use their online tools for sure So really recommend that if you are interested in ordering an ikea kitchen Me I think I want that one.

Okay Thank you You need to go find some flies, yeah I am stoked to be back home.

That was the longest day ever overall pretty successful.

Um, it's a shame that we couldn't get the wraparound Packaging done for our junk journal project So instead we're gonna go with our regular printer and just get them to print out postcards because we know they can do that And we know they'll be good quality So we're just gonna include this little postcard with each kit Just to kind of explain how to use it i'm gonna order those tonight and hopefully they will arrive in three days or so They're usually pretty quick.

I know they'll do a good job I can hear maro crying because he wants me to play with him.

I bet you he has his little ebi fry toy He usually carries it around in his mouth.

I knew it Is that chris it's your favorite favorite When chris gets back home i'm gonna give him that venus fly trap I think he should keep it in his office because he always has like a little fruit fly or something in there That's driving him insane with any luck.

I had no idea the instructions just say to water it regularly They don't say that it needs to be sitting in water I had one of these plants before and it died really quickly So I think that might be why so I have it in a little dish of water Thanks to you guys and hopefully it will survive a little longer this time you waiting for chris to come home Are you lonely?
