I am in England at the moment and it's become kind of a tradition on my channel to put the local Japanese food to the test when I'm traveling.

Now Dave and I actually did this video two years ago.

Lots of you guys said that we missed the best Japanese restaurant in Canterbury.

You were really upset we didn't go there so we will make sure to go there tonight and try it out.

So I stole Dave away from his job so that we could also get the opinion of somebody that doesn't live in Japan.

I feel like I might be overly critical since I'm exposed to very good Japanese food every day but we'll see what Dave thinks as well.

They had ramen, sushi, gyoza, all kinds of stuff on the menu.

So we're going to go there for lunch and then later on for dinner Chris will join us for Mr. Miyagi.

Yeah, I think Japanese food seems to be a bit of a trend at the moment.

Like everywhere there's Japanese restaurants.

When I looked on Google, I saw that they do salmon ramen which is very intriguing.

Judging by the reviews, that's probably their most popular one.

I'm intrigued by the takoyaki but I feel like that might be a bit too much food.

Let's hope he's better at opening it than Chris is.

There's a melon and orange and strawberry but the original is the best one.

I feel like foreigners drink ramen more than Japanese people.

It's funny how gyoza means deep fried here.

I feel like every time we get gyoza it's always crunchy and deep fried.

It tastes like when you get Chinese takeout and you get a spring roll.

Nothing about this tastes like gyoza but it's yummy.

I'm kind of sad I didn't get the curry now.

That smells like legit Japanese curry so I think the curry will probably be authentic.

Yeah, really looking forward to trying it.

It doesn't look like a typical Japanese ramen.

It's got a lot more, I'd say, vegetables in it.

And just the sesame smell is very different to a typical ramen but it looks delicious.

It's like soy sauce with a lot of sesame.

They're not spaghetti like the ones at Leather Spoons.

The noodles are the thick ramen noodles which I feel like you don't see as much in Japan anymore.

Yeah, it does remind me of a shoyu based ramen in Japan but with a really strong sesame flavor which is nice.

This is quite different to ramen in Japan and the gyoza was very different but it's really yummy.

Even if it wasn't exactly like a Japanese ramen, it was really delicious.

Alright, next on our hit list is Starry Mart which is kind of like a grocery store.

It's interesting to have a shop like that here in Canterbury.

So we went to Starry Mart to check it out.

Unfortunately, they were blasting music that I can't have in my videos.
