I will never shut up about the growing dangers of Christian nationalism in the United States.

Even growing up indoctrinated in Evangelical Christianity, I was raised to believe in the separation of church and state, and the majority of people in the U.S. still align with that.

But unfortunately, religious extremism is a tool of empire, so Christian nationalist policies are running rampant in the United States.

According to a recent Associated Press poll, most people in the U.S. disagree with teacher-led prayer or setting aside mandatory prayer time in public schools.

At the same time, though, the majority of Americans also support religious chaplains in school.

That inconsistency leaves the door open for more legal battles, and for a growing push from Christian nationalists to blur the line between church and state.

True religious freedom means no one's personal beliefs gets governmental backing, and that everyone's beliefs are equally protected.

But with the way this current administration's Christian nationalist policies are going, it's up to us to actively resist everything they're trying to implement.
