I'm Ashley Park, and I'm going to be answering questions that are all about me.

This first batch of questions is going to be about my career.

In which musical did I make my Broadway debut?

I love that my Broadway debut was in Mamma Mia.

I really felt like I got to learn the ropes of what Broadway was.

I started in the ensemble and as an understudy, and I feel like that really helped me formulate just what it means to be a team member and a family member in a Broadway company.

How many songs have I sung in Emily in Paris?

Season one, Chandelier, and L'Avion Rose.

Season two, All By Myself, Je Deux Amour.

That was season three, but that will count.

No, I sang like a phrase of that, and Harmonized with Lily.

So I remembered all the full songs I sang.

I couldn't have even imagined singing at all in the show.

Darren asked me after our first table read if I'd be okay with that, and I thought I was gonna be singing Happy Birthday at a karaoke bar or something just once, and so it's been really fun that music has become a way to open up Mindy's character.

I guess in season four, as of now, what's been teed up is that Mindy will be going to Eurovision.

So maybe a song there, but I think it'd have to be original, because I think that's the point of Eurovision.

How is my character believed to have died in Girls 5 ever?

I believe she was with magicians at a party, and she fell off the infinity pool.

And Tina Fey and Jeff Richman told me that we really could imagine that be the way that you go, Ashley.

We're laughing, but did I not tumble down the stairs yesterday to my almost death?

So honestly, infinity pools are dangerous.

In some of these locations, and they're off a cliff, and people are trying to get cool pictures.

They're leaping up onto the edge of the wall.

You'll turn into a bench like Ashley in Girls 5 ever.

I loved working with Tina Fey and Jeff Richman on the Mean Girls musical, and I was so excited just to be asked back into a room with them in the play space.

Sara Bareilles, Renee, Elyse Goldsberry, Paula Pell,

Busy Phillips have become four awesome big sisters to me.

Whenever I get to see them, I have the best time.

I mean, isn't it everyone's dream to kind of be in a 90s girl band?

I think what was really fun about that is it felt like an entirely different group project than when we were making the movie.

I think I didn't really understand that we were making a full music video, and I feel like the crew got to have a good time, too.

The cameramen got to have some fun in doing kind of different cinematography than they did in the rest of the movie.

Yeah, I'm excited for people to see that scene.

I've always loved K-pop groups since I was younger, too, like Back in the Day, Pinkfoon, and Um Jung Hwa, and all of them, Lee Hyori.

Who was the SNL musical guest the time I appeared on the show?

Because we had to do a show that night, so we didn't actually get to go to the show.

I was just seeing Starships the other day.

Dang it. We did get to go to the after parties after we did our Broadway show that night, so maybe that's why I don't remember her.

I'd be appearing in Only Murders in the Building in a TikTok video with Selena Gomez?

I remember a vest, like a colorful, comfortable kind of trend.

Yeah, that kind of vest. It was very comfortable.

That was actually the one thing from that set.

I was like, remember that vest? Can I take that?

Just complete warmth, generosity, such gratitude to be in that company, and so it's a great family to be a part of.

I learned a lot actually doing those, and now it's time for some personal questions, I guess.

How old was I when I first started playing piano?

It was when I moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan from California, and I signed up for piano lessons with Renee Robbins.

I think I practiced piano one hour every day of my life until I went to college.

I think what I loved about Ann Arbor, Michigan,

I realized how lucky I was that I grew up in a public school system that prioritized giving music education and the arts to everybody.

I had no idea that musical theater was even a career possibility, and it wasn't until I was a Make-A-Wish kid and my wish was to go watch a Broadway musical for the first time and go to New York for the first time.

I think seeing it tangibly and watching shows and seeing that adults made a career out of this really is what made it tangible to me.
