So most people don't know that I actually started in stand-up comedy.

Years before YouTube, I was a teenager in the Los Angeles stand-up scene.

My dad and I even camped out for two days in a pink Disney princess tent so that I could audition for Last Comic Standing.

Natasha Leggero said I was one of the worst sets she had ever seen.

And I was like, oh my god, so you're saying I'm memorable?

I did stand-up for a decade, but in 2018, I quit due to a stalker.

And all the anxiety that comes with, you know, being stalked.

But I'm really grateful to say that that is over.

And hey, now I have a 20-minute story about it, which is in my new show called It Gets Darker.

The title really means it, so prepare thyself.

And honestly, I'm really excited to share this show.

I truly think it's one of the best things I've ever written.

You know, when I was a comedian in my 20s, I was really trying to take the dark things in my life and turn them into meaningful and funny and insightful pieces of art.

You know, specifically my sister's suicide.

But I just did not have the skill set to do that yet.

It took me seven years to write a suicide joke.

And I'll be honest, that was still too fresh.

I really have put in the work to become a better writer and performer.

And last summer, I was like, you know, I'm really feeling the itch to come back to stand-up.

And I can really say that I've taken all that pain throughout my life.

And I've made something that I'm really, really proud of.

So this spring, I will be visiting Chicago, Minneapolis, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Boston, Washington, San Diego, San Francisco, who sold out already.

For all of August, I will be performing at the Edinburgh Fringe at the Show & Tell in Pleasance.

And then I'll bop over to London in Lycester Square Theatre.
